Short and sweet Sissy, those are the best kind, they come and dump rain and then the sun can come back out and shine! :cool:Got lots done today, painted fence till dark, cleaned house this morning, walked puppies, and still had time to sit and have coffee and lunch with my dear old mom! Weather was beautiful, balmy, 80 degrees most of the day. Life is Good!:)

We had a severe storm move through, at home, 60 mph winds, I was watching it come in and our power went out at 7:01p, it is still out. Quick fast moving storm. Hope our freezers hang in there, concerned about the ponds, but nothing I can do about any of it.

Addy, don't open the freezer door or it will just warm up quicker. If freezer is full, it will stay frozen way longer. Put blankets on top of freezer to help it stay cool... Hope your power comes back on quick!
Painted new fence, what a total change from last year and old fence! Last August I cobbled that path and that was a big difference too. Weather is just wonderful, flowers are happy!View attachment 72719

Are you a weather watcher? If so, for which TV station or agency? Just curious.

I got in the habit of checking the weather daily when I had horses. I had to decide if they could be turned outside for the day or in the evening and that was decided dependent on the weather. Too hot they were put out overnight, too cold and they were outside during the day and stayed in overnight. Haven't had horses in several years now but I still check the weather daily lol

FOX8 is my preferred station. I also have an app on my phone so it makes it very easy to check anytime of day.

colleen we are 1000 miles from home, so can't do anything about anything...........as they say. My neighbor will monitor the pond coming back on, it does fine with power outs. She watches over our land when we are gone, everybody has to drive by her house to get to ours, she is our watch dog lol.

The pond will be fine, once it fires up again, not worried about the bacteria dieing, the bog has never had an issue being shut off then back on. And I have a massive amount of plants growing.

Just checked, the power is still out, some tree must have taken down lines when the storm hit, my neighbors said the wind was unreal.

Did the storm have a shelf cloud on it? Love shelf clouds.

That must have been the storm that rolled thru here Monday night. Wind was so bad I thought it was gonna rip my plants up by the roots! Lots of huge tree limbs fell on power lines thru out the city but mostly on the west side of town, as the storms usually come from the southwest. Hope the power comes back on soon
