Nice and sunny here and 73f. Did not reach 80 tho like they had said it would be a couple days ago. I am not complaining tho, just sayin

80 and sunny here. I heard the air show got cancelled today too so the whole event was a bust. One the bright side, I saw the Blue Angels fly over my house when they left! Sure, they were way up there, but still cool!

With our rain today came a blizzard of beautiful Crepe Myrtle blossoms. So lovely.

How neat Lou. Never had a Crepe Myrtle but they are pretty in bloom.

Well the flood threat is almost gone! Last night the city dropped off a Notice in the mail box, one of the sewer lifts was damaged and not working, so some people had sever backup again in our neighborhood! Not me thank goodness!

It is a really nice day, getting kinda hot though, right now at 72 degrees (23 Celsius) and when the sun is out from behind the cloud it feels hotter.

Had a great weekend, great weather. Had a little to much sun on my body Sunday but I did get most of my plants planted. Today only a high of 74 with scattered thunderstorms.

It feels hot and humid here too, right now it is still dark, 66 degrees, and the sun is not yet till 5:15 AM and it is only 3 o'clock in the early morning right now. I was so tired after work unloading all those pellets, that I passed out early and now I am wide awake! Going to have a little glass of wine and do some laundry and stuff while I am wide awake. I was going to do some watering. but just heard the rain falling gently outside now.

Was just outside by the pond, had just finished cleaning the little skimmer in bottom pond, then all of a sudden, without any warning, a loud crack of thunder scared me and the Poppy! I never saw No lightening or anything to warn us a storm was coming... I should have followed Poppy, cause she kept running back to the back door and would not sit by the pond with me. I ran back quickly into the house close behind the very scared Poppy, we are now snuggled together. Poppy always knows when a storm is coming!

Poppy has the good hearing doggie ears and can hear that storm coming miles away!

No storms here, just bright and sunny. Hard to look out there and believe that it is all going away later today, so they say. Better get my walk in before it all disappears.............need to finish my audio walking book of fearful stories!
Then I need to take a break from them for awhile back to garden podcasts from Ciscoe the gardener and also the Dory Monson talk radio what's new in our world show. Listening to the scary stories I am starting to hear things in the woods by the roads as I walk and thinking things might be in there watching me ready to eat me up!
Actually tho the news in the world might be even scarier come to think of it

I have quit watching the news lately, just will give me too much stress JW. Beside's who has time when the birds are singing and it rained so nice this morning so now I don't have to water!

This morning was just beautiful, the birds were singing their hearts out at 5 AM in the morning. It had just rained and everything was so fresh and the noise from the city was gone.....
