Thanks for the update, j.w., Was wondering how long they'd keep digging through that mess. Poor souls!

Named varieties of waterlily sell here for $30 to $40. I potted up cuttings from my own pond, no idea what colour or variety, and tagged them at $29.99. They are selling like hotcakes!

They come in those little containers but funny thing was they were starting to grow out of the containers because they were out side in the garden center and had gotten wet from the rain we had gotten the last couple of weeks .They had those gamecock iris .

We have 7' deer fencing up- Why is this fence almost invisible??? Should be something the deer can see shouldn't it? I have ribbon strung thru it and misc. items hung on it so at least I can see it. Got our new shed Monday so I can work in there today.
From what I have read and heard, the deer fencing is made so the deer don't really see it, if they can't see it they can't jump over it. They bump into it and don't really know what to do., so leave it and go somewhere else.

We had it up before as a perimeter fence and they went thru it but we had a large herd of deer at the time.

One of the reasons I put up electric fence. I did leave a lot of open area for the deer and planted them some munching gardens. so far it is working.

Beautiful temps. 70s all week. I'm so glad to see this kind of weather and I hope it lasts.... forever.... or at least another 4 months!

Cool pictures Colleen :) I just love all your stuff, makes it more interesting that way!

So what is that silver ball in the pond and where did you get it?

Thanks Bettasngoldfish! The silver ball spins non stop in the water cause there is water that comes out of the log from a hose, and then then spinning ball creates more water movement.

It was very hot here yesterday, poor Bear dog was not used to the heat and was panting like crazy! Going to the river to take puppies for a swim before the heat gets here! Have to work all afternoon and evening again, working on the front yard pond, life is so much work!

Finally starting to warm up here. I bought some plants for the pond area yesterday and also bought an alligator decoy as well as an owl. Got some spotlights last weekend that we didn't set up yet. Lot's to do.

I'm really happy it's getting warm enough to get this pond stuff going. So many ideas all winter long but not the right time to do it. Planning to work on the pond over the weekend (have to make a trip to Home Depot later today for some bricks) then plan on relaxing pond side with a little bit of wine.
