So I believe this is the last thing John Huff posted here on the forum:

Surprisingly warm at 41F tonight. I'm about to log off, but I'm very hungry. I just found an individual pack of cookies in the back of kitchen pantry with no expiration date on it.
Knowing my wife (hoarder) I have no way of knowing how old these are. Could be from last year. The oldest they can be is 2004, which is when we bought the house, unless she brought them over from the old house, which we bought in 1993.

I going to open them now. If you don't hear back from me tomorrow, they're probably from 1993, unless her Grandma brought them here from the old country when she immigrated here (1920).

OK, I'm going to eat them now.

I wonder if he really did eat cookies from 1993?!

I don't have a clue. He lives somewhere south of me but he was pretty secretive on exactly where. We could all bombard him w/ p.m's and see if he responds. Hope he is ok..............it's so weird that he just disappeared.

Sounds like a plan. I will send him a message and see if he replies.

Maybe he (John Huff) is busy in the garden these days... I think lots of people have disapeared into their gardens and trying to get their yards all planted?
Weather here could not be nicer! Sun was out but I had to work again! Good thing the sun does not set till after 9 pm! Temperture going to be in the 80's for Thursday and Friday!

They showed a home video of that supercell on the local news here. Very cool, although I don't believe I would be brave enough to stand there an record it lol.

No kidding!
The frost is coming out of the ground now, so our roads are really greasy with mud, but after that's done I can get my dump trailer and start bringing in some landscaping supplies.:)

Mitch, so how long is your growing season where you're at? Idk know if I could handly such a long winter like yours, ours was unusually long and I about went nuts! Course I'm not a good cold weather person :) a little snow is good, bit then I'm ready for it to go away lol
Your greenhouse is beautiful, I'm soooo jealous! Im determined to have a small one by the time winter gets here, stupid me keeps buying plants out of our zoning area ;) They're just so dang pretty lol

Fishylove, our last frost is usually end of May and the first frost is usually middle of September - hence the greenhouse:)

The greenhouse has been great, I attached it to our main building with a door to inside.
The biggest drawback with it is that it's so expensive to heat in the winter. I was able to keep it above 11C/52F this past winter, but I don't think I'll do that again. There are water pipes running through it so I'll have to keep it above freezing.

Woohoo, WTG Mitch! Now comes the happy time, moving rock. :p
Here are the algae pics I could not upload last night. (Internet has too much competition in the evening, hoping they fix that issue today!!!) This is a shallow pan I use for lilies, so has cat litter in it, been sitting next to the pond since last fall. Water comes and goes with the rains and wind, but thought this bit of algae was really.

I got some pictures last night I wanted to show off, of the tulips blooming with the nice lights at dark...
The orange tulips smell sweet, like orange crush....
