Ryan, did you go to your name at the top line, hover over it and then when you get the drop down, click on Alert Preferences. See what is checked. I had to re-check mine so I would get alerts when I got "likes" or posts on threads I follow.

We had -15F this morning, Brrrrrrrrr! Currently -9.

MtPond,

Your state seems to be hit the worst with the severely cold temps this week. When I checked yesterday morning, Lewistown was showing something like -29 F and expected to get to -34 F for their low. Don't know if they made it that deep into the cold, but it really doesn't matter, -29 is just COLD. Any colder than that is just bragging rights for the cryogenically frozen people there.

We have had cold spells in Nebraska in the past. Even in the SE corner where I am from. I remember one spell where we set a record for not topping zero F for a high for X number of days, and it was quite a few days... something like 18 to 22 days???? But, I don't recall ever getting down below much less than -20 for the ultimate low.

Why the heck do we live in such places that get so darned cold? Why the heck am I living HERE! I think I will move to Belize or Panama when I retire. I hope they have catfish down there! Sure as hell better have good beer!

With all the snow in many parts of the country, I thought I would present a riddle to everyone. It is a simple riddle, really, but don't give away the answer if you know it.

The riddle is: I never shovel snow from my sidewalks or driveway, I wait for the girls to do this for me. What are the girl's names?

You are very close, John... But nope, those are not the names of the "THREE GIRLS". Want to try again?

Had to edit my first post because the grammar was incorrect. I have an English teacher in my family now, so I must be on my toes at all times.
