Starting to snow a tiny bit here now. Temp is rising up to 28F. Have to travel to West Seattle tomorrow w/ sister and her son for his eye surgery. They say we will not get much and it will change over to rain. She is driving and I said I would go w/ her. If we get bad snow or ice we are in big doo doo!

The pond has a nice layer of snow over it, besides the open hole the neighborhood alley cat made yesterday when he walked over it to get a drink...poor thing never saw a cat move so fast after getting out! Betting he won't do that again...and the bubbler is working great so far under all that (and it's lil volcano top) feeding the newly made hole from yesterday too.
Meanwhile inside, my cat spaz thought the clothing I layed on my bed from the dryer to fold (and just left long enough to get another load going) was to be used as a blanket for him.

Poor wet kitty, hope he didn't go some where and freeze to death all wet like that. Your kitty needs to share his nice warm bed w/ that other kitty. He looks so nice and comfy under all that freshly warmed clothing

My cat loves when I wash and fold towels, and leave the in the basket in the laundry room. She will lay on them all day long in the winter, to absorb all the heat.
My cat, Grace, caught a mouse yesterday! I knew it was in my house when I got up to use the bathroom Sat. night, came back to bedroom and stepped on her. Told her to get out of bedroom, which she usually does right away, but she didn't want to go, kept staring under the dresser. So, got a flashlight, looked under, nothing. Looked behind dresser, and that little sucker was smart! He was wedged between the back of the dresser and the wall, above where she could see by looking underneath! I knew no way she was going to catch it back there, and I wanted to get back to sleep, so let it be. Yep, it was in my bedroom, but I figured he had no desire to come snuggle in bed with a human, right?!
Next day, sitting cross stitching, Grace is staring under tv table. There are the DISH receiver, DVR player, and spare/old DVR player. She started pawing at it, circling it, so I knew that little guy was under it. I lifted it up, so she could get look underneath (and it would not run toward me) and sure enough, she caught it. Promptly carried it around, so proud of herself! I knew she would lay it down to play with it, so got my phone video going. I got some hilarious footage, but have no idea how to save it to YouTube. Evidently I have to have a Gmail account to do so from my phone. Anyhow, here is a pic I took of Grace with the mouse!

That's a good mouse cat, she can sniff them out good! Power is still out, was watching a good show too!! This sucks, they better get that transformer fix soon!!!

The house is strangely quiet, and I can hear a bird or something outside in the dark making some strange shreaking noise....

Dang, with your temps, Colleen and greenhouse, etc., I say you better get the generator going, and make sure you have enough gas for tomorrow, too, just in case! If you are prepared, you won't need it ... Murphy's Law! :blueflower:
