burr at this moment we are totally ice free, tomorrow it will change. Pond has dropped from 48 to 45, we dropped from 67 to 36 in 24 hours.

The fish are all swimming around nibbling on plants

You never know here, it can be a huge snow dump when they say nothing coming, to nothing when they say we are going to get snow. The cold waves stall a lot of times and go north. Think this one for sure will hit but it is already slowed down / stalled was supposed to hit tonight with snow, but now not until sometime mid sunday. Wait and see

We have 1-4 inches coming, then freezing rain, nothing on the news except STAY HOME! Luckily is it sunday, but may still be around tomorrow, the storm that is. Government may be on the stay home if you want, takes a ton of drivers off the road. For you cold and snow people hard to understand how a few inches of snow can shut down the area, I never understood until I moved back here, traffic is so horrible all of the time, rush hour(s) beyond horrible.

We are 26 right now, snow creeping towards us from the west under winter storm warnings

Bird, squirrel, deer feeders filled, pond aerator running, pond down to 40 now. Cells charged lol, we are ready for our 2-4 inches of snow............I know you northern peeps laughing at us. Less snow has taken out our power, not too bad out here, but trees limbs take out the lines all of the time if it snows, then we get the ice storm on top of it

Well the pond is out there somewhere under a couple (or three) inches if new snow...and I know it has a hole in it as I just watched a neighborhood cat walk up to it...on it...then fall thru it! Needless to say I was just about to jump out of my chair to help him when he hops out and runs off shaking his back paws...poor thing (ok but it was funny) wish I grabbed my camera while I was watching him thinking he was just going over to the bubbler/deicer hole to get a drink. Well he got more than the drink he wanted!

It is a balmy 22F here. I was able to get my aerator working again. The tube had gotten squeezed between two layers of ice. After a defrosting inside, we again have bubbles and a much bigger ice free surface. Apparently the deer are appreciative as there are tracks all along the edge of the pond. I'm assuming they are coming up for a drink.

Took pup out for our walk no snow, dry roads, 25 minutes in, one mile from house,...................white out. By the time we made it back one inch of snow on the ground (20 min or so) roads very slick, had to walk in the grass to not fall down. Still coming down

Currently 15F here and snow. Expecting my yard to look like Rebangels by the end of the day. 2 to 4 inches expected. Still have a large area open in the pond. Been running my aerator and deicer. deicer is 1500 watt and sucking up lots of electricity I expect. If we get out of these single digits temps I will shut it off. Might not be till the end of the week though.

Cathy just discovered that our iced over rare 5' tall purple nandina is bend over to ground level. Although it will survive I highly doubt it will return to vertical. Will probably have it cut back when appropriate.
I have plants that get bent over get the ice/snow off them they usually return.

Well here is our 1-4 inches of predicted snow, still in white out conditions. Measurement of 6 inches so far

Ponds icing over rapidly, 25 out there
