Winds have changed, smell going away a tiny bit. Staying in house for now...

Will any of that settle into the water and cause the fish problems . :question: I know when we had fires here I covered my pond with a tarp and there was a fine soot all over the tarp

You should definitely cover the pond.

Should be ok, winds don't usually blow the smoke this way. This Morning wind has shifted. They claim that we should be ok cause I should be far enough away. Fish are not going to absorb much as they are in ice cold water barely breathing right now. Ice covering more than half of pond right now. No ash falling that I can see. Closer to the garbage site, many people are Worried....

The garbage on top is frozen and the fire is burning in the middle of the pile!

Was 85f just days ago. It's currently 35f, windy, scattered showers. Winter storm watch in effect.

Our 2.5 story Burr Oak is generously sharing its leafs with the entire neighborhood. Such a polite tree.

Don't remind me of that. I'm starting to feel the cold more and I've started to wear thick woolen socks around the house. A friend told me that it's a sign of old age, old people get cold easier. And dang, when I see my Mom bundled up to the ears even during Fall weather, I can see she's right.

46 and 10:30 am and really windy out and sunny .Won't get much done again because hubby has not been feeling good and don't like to be outside just in case something goes wrong .Making him a baked chicken today .Nice toasty oven on

Too cold for my bones out there right now. It's about 23F and looks so nice and sunny but looks are deceiving. My hubby is gonna go for a bicycle ride!

Well it is 59 but the wind is cold and blowing hard but sun is still out
