Don't trust them, we are 27 right now, was a coooooooooooool 4 mile walk this am, 18 degrees, left little missy at home, too cold for her

Drove to Maple Creek yesterday with hubby for Gun Show, could see the smoke from the dump fire burning for miles, very Long trail of smoke. HellFire Suppression Services are now contracted to put fire out. They are bringing in big heavy equipment from Rocky Mountian House, building new acess road, and working on Dump fire right now paper says. HellFire also puts out oilfield fires...

Wind still keeping smoke away for now....

How is your husband Sissy?

He is going in for a ECG of his heart December 5th his blood pressure will not go down even though the upped his meds. .I wish they had an opening earlier.He has been running in the high 150's and even up to 175 and when he went into the hospital he was over 200 .They even called other hospitals as they want 7 pics of his heart and seems the dye they use is also a big problem . Thank you for asking and how have you been doing since your health scare Lou Well looked at outside temp and they say 39 degrees .Good gosh colleen what next up there .Shame they could not harness the heat .

34, just got the aerator running, 1/2 inch of ice on the ponds, now melting with the help of bubbling air.

No ice here yet but it says the rest of the week supposed to be in the mid 40's and if the wind dies down that will be great

Had to get my butt out there and get it done, we are going to be cold for the rest of the week. So the ice will just get thicker and thicker. The aerator melted it right off, now around 1/3 of the pond is open, the rest still iced over.

Clouding up here and 43F. Still will be in the high 20's and that is warming up from the previous days of low 20's. Nice walk today in the sun but ran into a poor calf on someone's property w/ it's head stuck in the fence. No one home and big dog on the porch so went to neighbors and they called and left a message on their phone for people to come home and rescue their calf. She said if they don't come home soon she will call animal control to rescue the little fellow. Poor baby he was crying so loud and pushing and pulling

I'm at our annual Boy Scout winter camp. M-I-s-e-r-a-b-l-e! Temps in the low 30's, and rain for the past 24+ hours. It's almost impossible to stay dry & warm despite best efforts. And, of course, boys being boys -- they just have to walk through the deepest and muddiest tracks from point A to point B . Just thankful I thought to dig out my ski thermals...

Hey, pray for us that it doesn't freeze over night.... Tomorrow is the final day of camp, and I SURE would hate to be trapped out here 'cause parents couldn't get in to pick up their kiddos!

PS -- since I've been out here, I have no idea what the pond is doing....



I decorate my tent every year. Poor Frosty in the rain!
