CE...they were caling for all that crap to hit us after your area... just a nice steady rain so far. 62* outside, so thats nice. winds are to pickup tonight and tommorrow now 25 - 35mph. occassional 40mph possible. we'll see!

Windy and rainy here but thank Heaven we get no tornado's. Can't go out and work on my net again today. Dry weather is forecast for the coming days tho so I'll get er done yet :cheerful:

Northern Illinois got hit really bad, up by Peoria, Illinois. Very wide path hit through suburbs, doing far more destruction. Thank goodness where tornado touched down here was rural, and only a few houses got demolished. Bad for those, I know, but at least there were not hundreds of houses! I took a video of my windmill, which was going 100 mph! The video looks like it's going slow, almost stopping, and even looks like it is changing direction of the blades spinning, but it never slowed down and sure didn't reverse direction! Must be something with a video camera that gives the optical illusion. It actually spun around 360 at one point, but I guess I downloaded the wrong video. LOL This was after the storms went through and then the winds started shifting. All the storm, the winds were out of the South. Then, they started shifting, and as you can see, the direction was very "undecided" at the moment!

Good grief CE, so glad you are OK, but that windmill does not know which way to point!! Must have been lots of up drafts or something!!

The winds started changing. I've never seen the windmill so confused before. This just goes to show when the winds change direction, it really does a lot of changing before it decides where it is coming from for certain. LOL I had taken another video of 180 degree showing clear skies to black skies, but it was kinda boring. Was hoping, when I viewed it on the computer, that it would have had the tornado in the far distance for me to see after all, but it did not.

Wow!!! there sure looks like lots of bust up homes and massive amounts of devastation left in the wake of those bad storms down there, looks like you were very lucky to escape the wrath of those bad storms CE!!

Beautiful weather here right now, right now we are at 30 degrees Fahrenheit, thanks to the nice warm Chinook, but just a hour north in Brooks AB, the temperature is a bone chilling 0 Fahrenheit, or minus 17 Celsuis!!

Yeh weather channel had it on .We are already at 60 degrees and headed for 70 degrees and then colder for 3 days only up in the high 50's and then back up to the high 60's for a couple of days

Thank goodness both CE and fishy made it through those storms w/o any problems. I've heard on the news that others were not so fortunate. I heard that lots of the people were in church at the time the tornado's happened and that's what saved them as where their homes were was destroyed.
More boring rain here today and some of the rivers around will be flooding. I'm waiting for Thursday and Friday as they are saying sun but colder. Maybe I can finally get to working on my pond net for Heaven's sake!

Rainy. Last night was trash night and bears came to rummage in our trash containers. I actually heard trash container noises but I thought it was just neighbors taking their trash out. This morning, wifey told me that, our trash was all over the place and our neighbor's trash had been dragged across the street. I guess I should be more careful going out late at night now.

well 74 degrees today and now I can say I am a true redneck ,3 toilets sitting on my back deck and 4 th one is not there because well we do need one .I decided to change all the wax rings since one was leaking and then decided to clean the back of the tanks real good and replace all the insides of them since well water can ruin them .I don't have the insides so have to wait and go get them tomorrow ,but I can clean them all out really good .Well poor king arthur and the chihuahua's are confused by whats on the back deck :cheerful: Rags in the openings so gases don't come in the house .
