17 degrees here this morn. Brrrrr Pond had its first layer of thin ice. My wimpy little aerator kept an area open. Gotta get a bigger one!
Poor fishies.

24 here this morning and still windy so not sure what wind chill is. hoping to go thru decorations today and figure out where everything is. Only thing we did was tree last year and I took it down Christmas night. Still haven't found half the tree ornaments. I keep a notebook with inventory and plans but last year really messed things up. Hubby is taking off later this week to set up decorations. Weather is supposed to warm up but also calling for rain!
Wish I could have had the eye surgery 40 years ago!!

Thankfully no glasses needed here yet, but I am sure some day I will need them as I am not getting any younger! I just let puppies outside to make a Pee and there was an owl sitting in the tree hooting at me. Still very dark outside, stars shining briight, but at least snow has melted and it is above freezing right now.

32 here, feels like 5, First frost of the year, I would not survive living up north folks, I've walked outside three times this morning to see how the new landscaping project is coming along, 30 minutes outside and I'm in serious pain and agony. The wind is howling and the leaves are filling the ponds faster than I can get my hands warmed back up. If I ever move again, I'm moving to the freaking Bahama's!

Buy hand warmers in the store they work great .I used to use them all the time and still use them inside my gloves if I have to work by the pond .It is cold here but supposed to get up to 58 and then they say back up into the mid to high 60's ,I hope they are right .Stayed up late last night to watch the rest of the JFK stuff on the military channel and feel so sorry for all his security people who lived with this guilt all these years .They all spoke and you could see and hear how choked up they got talking about it .They were never offered counseling either ,so sad .Jackie was one strong woman .

I missed that last night Sissy, fell asleep early cause I was tired from working hard in the freezer all day at work. Larkin, you would freeze up here for sure, and the freezer where I work is kept very cold, like minis 20 cold to keep the food fresher. Most people freeze in there but me, I am used to the cold and it rarely affects me anymore, except for the wind outside is worse, seems to blow right into the bones these days. I hate the wind too, makes everything much colder for sure!

Today we are lucky, going to a high of 45 degrees!! :)

I have watched all the parts of it and would watch them again as the stories the security people told may be the last as they are all getting older now .All the shows were really heart warming in detail stories of what the family was really like and how both Jackie and the children took it all with a brave face .Not sure I could be that brave .It made you really see how strong people can be .The high def remakes of all the films really showed all the details of that horrible day .The heart warming stories from the security people really did help and you could see how choked up each one of them got telling there stories .It will soon be 50 years .Seeing Carolyn Kennedy sworn in today on the news really brought it all home .. :cheerful: Her dad would be proud
