It was 90 here today, but radio guy said 62 tonight. I had to see that to believe it, and sure enough, going down to low 60's tonight, and only 78 tomorrow, then 56 for tomorrow night! Windows are going OPEN, I believe!

Rebel, I need rain, too. Can't say my area needs it, just me. Next town over got 2" on Sat. and 1.7" on Sun., I got less than .1" total both days. Boohoo! I hear ya about the clouds parting and going somewhere else. I sure hope this is not a trend for all summer. And, with the temp change, I would have thought a storm front pushing that in, but not even 10% chance of rain until next week Tues. Ho hum .....

Sounds like you bought a really nice house.
The house was in worse shape than the lawn .Had to refinish the oak floors and put up oak molding and all new oak doors inside and new windows and siding ,Remodeled both bathrooms and built a whole new kitchen and new siding and new roof .New heating and air system and new appliances .Walls were so dirty It took a few months to clean off the crude just to paint them .New blown in insulation and new kitchen floor besides new deck and front porch .We buy ugly and then make it pretty and now it looks bad again from neglect .All the gardens have been left to overgrow and neighbor told me the peoples kids broke 4 of the anderson windows and just replaced the glass with plastic

ah sissy I can relate with you...I decided to move back in to my smaller house (after I rented it out for the past few years) and my daughter took over the two story...I had to completely remodel the smaller house, carpet, linoleum, walls, completely remodel the bathroom and the yard holy cow! The home is looking more and more loved everyday now that I'm back in her...sept it's to dam hot to finish my new pond but plug away at it every now and then...have the 3.5' deep part finished and that was the last of the digging to do...found out I have clay under about 2' of nice black dirt...not so fun to dig threw! I can see it from my computer room and just imagine water flowing from the waterfall...the wier is on the way and should be here by friday!!! yaaaa! Suppose to be cooler this week with highs in the 80s I actually have my computer window open this morning and it feels good as it got to the lower 60's last night.

Looking Good Rebel! Looks like you have a real big yard to work with too! :)

Big Lou, I hope you are feeling better soon, will say a pray for you...

Last night we had another big thunderstorm, more rain, but the hot heat has killed off most of the horrible mosquito's we had, thank goodness! Today we reached a high of 84 degrees, have not had hardly any days above 90 degrees, praire grass still green and lush...

Sorry it was so much work but glad you got a good return. My house has been a fixer upper since we bought it 21 yrs ago. I would much rather work out side everyday instead of in the house. My husband is about as enthused as I am. He just doesn't like yard work. I would like to bulldoze my house and build a smaller one story all brick. Dreams""" :faint:

houses are always work and it just never ends .My first house was a front to back ranch and was a speak easy at one time and still had all the gas features in the house and I cleaned them up and wired them all so the house stayed true to the build .I love the part when you think you are finished and it really never is .April fools every day :cheerful:

Wow, Rebel, that pond is going to be awesome. Looks like the hard part is completed, and soon you will put in a liner and then the water, and then all your pumps, etc. and then FISH!!! Great job, can't wait to see the finished project. And, if you have another thread you're going to start, please post on this thread the name, so I can follow it, too! :blueflower:
Glad to see you on here again, Lou, and glad you're feeling some better! Gabusias, huh? Had to look that one up, and looks like minnows or guppies. Do you have any other fish in there that might threaten the babies? Hope not. Enjoy the wee ones.
