Still hot and humid here. Got up to 93, the radio said, and they said just 103 heat index. How does that heat index thing work? I see we have 80-95% humidity, so can't imagine it any worse than that anywhere. I know in like AZ it gets to 120 "but it's a dry heat". Ok, so in AZ does 120 feel like "just" 120? LOL Sorry, but I would prefer the 103 heat index (feels like ...) rather than 120 anytime. No, I don't like to sweat as soon as I get outside, but geez, you sweat in 120, too, it just dries so fast you don't even know you are losing water as fast as your body can take it in! And, doesn't sweating keep you cooler, if there is a breeze? Just saying .... I know humidity sucks, but we have to look at the bright side, like KoiGuy's pic and words above. :blueflower:

Just a nice sunny day it turned out to be and 72 now. Worked hard all day wrapping trees and shrubs, digging dirt away from house bottom boards, moving junk off porch/deck,wetting down plants and covering the pond so painter/carpenter guy could do his job. Long day and I'm worn out now! Hubby went for a bike ride..................what's up w/ that?

So North Texas had dry heat then? I just assumed it was all humid as my mother used to always say when she visited there it was awful humid. Must have been the Southern part near the water. My dad was in the navy for 20 yrs and they lived in a couple different places in the states.
My mother loved San Diego and I have always wished they had chosen to live there but my mom's family was all in Washington and my dad's was in Tennessee and I guess my mom won that one. I could'a been a surfer girl :surfing:

High of 91 today. I'm so glad that I don't have the high humidity that a lot of you have :).
Addy I don't know if you introduced your dog and if you did I missed it, but i just have to say that your dog is so cute. Makes me smile every time I see it. Is it a male or female?
