Weather today is cooler, cloudy, and currently this morning at 59 degrees. We should reach a high of 73 degrees. Not warm enough to sun tan, but should make for a nice day at the park.

Just came in to get coffee and it is hot out already and only 12:15 and so far behind in my garden work again because of all the rain and I just got caught up ,I thought . :cheerful: This is just getting to be to much for me ,so it is either sell or hire a lawn service to mow and trim and hate to do that because I love to mow the yard .I wonder if i could just hire them to do the trimming as that is what takes the longest and to me is the hardest .Carrying that trimmer around for 2 hours is not easy .Mowing I do the side yards and then give the mower a rest for a couple of hours and then do the front and then mower gets a rest and then next day I do the back and down by the road .I have to stop also to make hubby 3 meals a day ,with his meds he has to eat at certain times .

I don't trim, the only trimming that is done is with the mower, as close as it can get. My hands can not hang on to a trimmer for any length of time, and it just grows back.

I wish they could come up with mowers that had pop out trimmers .Went to NC today to look at a possible house .It was a big house though over 3600 sq. ft. and had a pondless water fall and wrap around decks and listing was wrong it said 2600 sq. ft. .Nice view but not the view I have now and just an acre of land .Both houses on either side had 6 acres plus .

Well an acre means less grass to cut and land to care for Sissy. But closer neighbors.

Are you planning on moving Sissy? I have been so busy working extra hours at work, and our supervisor is quitting in three months, too much job stress if you ask me, no body will step up and take the position, nobody dumb enough.... then I have been working really hard in the yard, currently making a stone padio by the pond for my gazebo to sit on. I want to have the gazebo up for Monday, as that will be my only day off this week!

It rained last night, everything wet, good, now I won't have to water! Currently only about 50 degrees, have to work all day today, hubby working all weekend, hope he can come home tonight, tired of explaining to Poppy why "daddy" not home....

Finally! a nice day after such a chilly and wet spring. Sunny all day today with no wind and a nice comfortable 22*C with low humidity. Dave Phillips ( chief meteorologist at Environment Canada ) says that here in southern Ontario that it's going to be a cooler and wetter summer than normal this year. Poop! ... weel at least the toads are having a good mating season. Lots of them around this year.

Yhe house on each side have over 6 acres each and they are far away from what they laughingly call the small house .I just feel the house is way to large for me .Geeze the master bedroom was 30x30 . To much to heat and cool but it does have an on grid solar system .But you add the basement onto that 3600 sq. ft and you have one huge house .To much for me .It would take me an hour just to find the dogs . :cheerful: I don't want to move but not sure how much longer I can keep this up .Today I had to drive an hour to the other house in Pittsville VA and an hour back and then got back and my sister called and had to go take out her sink and faucet and put in new sink and faucet and then come home and mowed half my yard .To get to her house it is an half hour each way .To many people and to many things .

Congrats on this long growing thread CE! I remember way back when you started it their was some complaining about us all talking about the weather in all the posts
Was pretty nice today for some more house hunting. Think we may have found just the right one for my sister to buy. We will see if they are willing to come down in price and if it passes inspection. Was horrible getting there tho as we had to go around the detour northbound for that bridge that collapsed on I-5 and traffic was backed up forever. Fortunately coming back was a breeze!

Good luck to your sister, JW!!! I saw that bridge collapse I think when I was on vacation. Is that about when it happened? Looked awful!
Just got a nice light shower, total of .5" yesterday, PERFECT!!! Grass is loving it, and I can't complain at all about the weather. It's been high 70's, low 80's since I've gotten back. Love the cooler evenings, and although I don't care much for the wind, it does keep the skeeters away in the evening!
Tonight, toads are singing once again. There are always 2 of them, again tonight. Heard bullfrog croak yesterday around 5, just before the rain came. Spotted a small green frog in the waterfall pool this evening. Never know what type they are, just always thought they were all bullfrogs, just different sizes/maturities.
Sissy, I'm so sorry to hear about bad weather your way! You east coasters take care, and hope that bad weather leaves my pond friends alone!
