Supposed to rain for next two or three days according to one forecast, the other forecast is for rain for the next six out of seven days..... maybe I should build an ark!
Currently 54 degrees, cloudy, streets are wet from rain this morning, and sun rose today at 5:21 am, will set tonight at 9:20 pm. That is 16 hours of daylight! :)

If you live further north, you get more daylight hours now than me, for you people in Edmonton, you get sun at 5:14am and the sun does not set today for you till 9:49pm.

Water Valley the sun rose today at 5:28am and will set tonight at 9:44 pm.

Big Lou, your sun rose today at 6:22am and will set tonight at 8:28 pm.

Sissy, your sun rose today at 6:03am and will set tonight at 8:29 pm.

Addy, your sun rose today at 5:46am and will set tonight at 8:28 pm.

JW, your sun rose today at 5:15 am and will set tonight at 8:58 pm.

CE, your sun rose at 5:32 am and will set quick tonight at 8:12 pm!

The further north you are the more sun you will get this time of the year, that is why things are growing so fast in the north and the plants can catch up with quick growth this time of the year. When me and the hubby used to go way up to Northern Alberta passed Manning, the sun does not seem to set this time of the year, it just gets to twilight, and the sun just hovers barely below the horizon all night....

Heal fast 42 and enjoy your pond!

Raining here as promised. Went up to see the collapsed bridge. They had a big crane there w/ a guy dangling in a bucket cutting away the fallen metal and hauling it out piece by piece in the rain of course.

Raining buckets here too JW! We must be in the same boat! Ha ha ha! Rain came down so hard too, everything soaking wet and I had the power go off by the pond, one of the plugs got wet, so I had to over it up better, rain must have been coming down sideways or something!!

Then the choke cherry trees are dropping little stuff in the pond non stop, so I put a net where the water drops to next pond catch the tree litter, and then I emptied the net and shook it out real good and put it back to catch more stuff, but when I looked back on the ground there was a small goldfish, must have got in the net somehow, put him back in the pond, hope he will be OK! :(

Just dripping now and trying to sun up. Might take awhile, maybe by tomorrow sun will show it's face.

Poor little fishy Colleen and I too hope it makes it :fingersx:

Still trying to find sister a place to live. It is very hard w/ limited funds. Manufactured nice ones are hard to find w/ the space she wants.

We got hit with some good stuff a few weeks ago, I was so angry, my first and ONLY brand new car I'll ever buy got around $2500 worth of damage before it even had its first oil change. Of course the 2000 mazda sitting at home and my little tracker here at work didnt get any damage, but at my fiance's place of work they got nailed.

Here had a big storm last night, they were evacuating some near by towns again today, and supposed to be hit with another storm tonight. I'm almost hoping for a tree to fall on my new car, as i would like to be rid of this nightmare already and start fresh. :)

42 get them bones healing. Be careful. ididntdoit99 sorry to hear about your new car. Hope you are away from the flooding. In my neck of the woods it was 82 today and windy, waiting for more storms to come. Under a tornado watch. Hope it doesn't rain...... We will see.

No flooding at my place, I'm pretty far away from water. But many friends and coworkers are dealing with water in their basements, and I have one friend who has lost everything. He lives right next to the river, but there is a dike between him and the house, the river didn't get him, rainwater did. Drains on the street couldn't keep up, and there is a couple feet of water in his whole neighborhood.

Thanks for all the kind and encouraging words for my recovery, I trully do appreciate the support. As much as it is killing me to not be able to get back to my pond/garden passion, especially during this season's upkeep importance, I am so allowing my healing to take priority...no matter what, if anything, gets out of control.
If I can build a pond, like the one I just built...then I can certainly clean up the overgrowth, do to any undercare....so long as I have the working tools to do so. This season will come and go, as time stops for no one, but not taking away with it all the years I still have coming....which includes enjoying the use of my good working limbs.
Wisdom does come with age...as does brittle bones and softer butts. I can live with that, and in 100 degree weather, I can sit still on that butt, too. :cheerful:
