OMG Koi Guy!! I am kicking you in the BUTT! Get thoses poor koi out in the big wide outside! Summer will be here soon, come on, you can do it! Good grief, am I good at nagging or what!!

Weather here is pleasent and nice, slept with window and screen door open all night, Bear watched out the screen door for bad things that go bump in the night, currently 46 degrees, clouds are gathering, suposed to rain again....

Only 55 here now, but calling for a high of 68 and clear ...

and Koiguy ... shame on you for not getting your kids back outside!!! Of course, as I say this, ours are still in too, ours are waiting for hubby to build the next pond in for them (I mean his lilies LOL) ... He hasnt even had the time to space the lily pots out in the upper pond (and I cant move the 5 gallon pots) ... He is soooo backed up at this point, and more work keeps coming in. People are usually impatient, and even me telling folks that it will be 2-3 weeks before he can even LOOK at their projects doesnt seem to make a difference this year. Trying to refer some out, and they are saying they'll wait:-( He worked all day yesterday and is already gone this morning (Memorial Day is one of three days he says he will never work - issues with driving the rig with tourists, and he's working) ...

Currently 58 and headed for 97! We need to keep at it today too.

All the lilies from the stock tanks and lifts have been divided. We started on the ones in the "next new pond" yesterday.

The big flat lily pond is clean waiting for the rain to evaporate from it.

Looking like 9 days straight of rain here, started Friday afternoon and they say it wont stop until next Saturday, sure putting a damper on the holiday weekend.

Yesterday at the river, the water over the banks in some low areas, the beginning of the yearly spring runoff and heavy rain from up stream. Currently light rain, thundershowers forecast for later today....

Puppies can swim in the newly flooded shallow areas.

Too much or too little. We really need to work on weather control... again

Light rain again, currently overcast and 61 degrees. River has risen again today, getting close to this little dirt road now. I saw little gosslings swim behind momma goose today, but they were gone before I could get a shot, Poppy scared them away thinking they looked like food....

Meanwhile back at the pond, Poppy complained cause the fish were eating all her dog food again, and then the fish said they were starved and left outside all winter while Poppy slept on a warm bed and ate hot food at the people table.... dogs eat people food, fish eat dog food, and people eat junk food! Ha ha ha

It has rained pretty much non stop here! We are soaked. Just wish it would stop! Cant get into the garden, cant mow. Just depressing right now. On the good side the pond has had on heck of a water change.

People are being evacuated out of some small towns around here. My great Aunt and her adult children spent the day moving stuff from the basements of their houses.
That poor town (New Hartford) was hit by a tornado and a massive flood in the same week in 2008, they are still rebuilding a bunch of the empty lots trying to make the town look decent again. They built new levies and flood control, but it looks like it still isn't enough.

Beautiful sunny day so far ... only 62 now, but calling for a high of 70 ... chance of rain later, but for now, it is really nice out.

Came home from hospital yesterday, doc says surgery went well...sure hurts likr hell. Man, I'm just so glad I got to build the pond, before I started breaking bones :kruecken: And even happier about having such a wonderfull place to kick back...relax...and heal. Which is exactly what I'm doing...I'm serious, this one realy kicked me in the butt. I don't care how young I think (pretend) I wanna be...I can no longer deny I'm beginning to feel myself age :grumble:. Like that's gonna stop me...nah, just tone it with the tempo and enjoy the new sound :blueflower: .
Like this weather, crazy as it is, enjoying it while I can...cuz it won't be like this for long. It's barely 60 and blowing a gentle mist of fine rain in the air. Lovin it while learning to be a lefty... :cheerful:

Pond slider I Hope your feeling better soon, now you will just have to relax and just take it easy. I too am starting to feel my age after a hard days work and must rest more, was up on the roof cleaning out the gutters, supposed to rain for three days and nights .....
