JW, that's funny you finding cell phones. How do that many people lose them in your area? It's been raining since late this afternoon, had 1.5" in rain gauge when I got home from work, rained steady for a couple more hours, now just drizzle. Brought the hibiscus' in again, supposed to get down to 40 tonight, and 35 tomorrow night, but up close to 60 each day. Plants are sure enjoying the rain and temps, growing very well. My big yellow koi is getting soo fat with eggs ... hoping she waits to release them until water temps raise and stay there. Not that I need a bunch of babies, but I sure would enjoy spotting a few again this summer. Lilies are growing, but none have reached the surface yet. Babies will need something to hide in ....

Hubby only has 2 lilies out of 8 that have reached the surface .. it has become a morning ritual for me to look out the window and count the pads LOL ... 9 today, with one more that may make it today ... The ones you sent are set shallow for now (maybe 10-12" of water above the pot) and that one that had little pads started is almost to the surface with a good 5-6 pads that I can see from the window. I need to find a good way to mark them! For now, it's easy for me to just remember 3 pots that came up first, but he is going to be moving them, and I'll never remember then LOL.

Oh,and weather is crappy again today ... 47 now with a high of 57 projected ... more rain this morning, now just overcast .. also had a good bit of wind ... got up this morning to the main pond being 6-8" low again ... liner in the upper pond/bog flipped in again (it can only go so far, and it did) ... need more rocks LOL.

Yes, it has begun...Summer shoved out Spring yesterday, at 90 degrees. And, will do so again today. You don't have to guess about me living in a sunny location....having a tan I don't necsassarily want. But sure not gonna be wearing some long sleeved sweat shirt (for the next 7 months)

The one I just found was the 4th one and two were stolen and thrown out the window by the thief prolly and the other two were set on the roof of the car by the owners and fell off when hit a bump or something.

It was cloudy and chilly today, until I got off work, then the sun came out! Still chilly, though. Decided a good day to spray Weed B Gone on the grass, maybe stay ahead of the dandelions. Will need to mow in a couple of days, grass is VERY tall again. Probably should have mowed first, but water still standing in parts of the yard from the 2.25" rain we got yesterday. Ho hum ...
While working on the skimmer pump on goldfish pond, noticed a bunch of lily pads on the surface! Went to check the koi pond, same thing! Wow, like overnight a bunch of them hit the surface, including the lake lily I planted last spring (got from a huge lake was kayaking on, found the tuber floating ...) and no flowers last year. Wondering if it will flower this year. If not, it's getting tossed. No room for "non-producers" in my pond. LOL

Our weather here just won't make up its mind! I did get some things started in the garden from seed sunday; radishes, peas, potatoes etc., before it started raining AGAIN, and cold 40 or so. Getting things cleaned up little by little. Kinda stuck in the back yard right now though, need top soil and it's too wet to bring it in right now, but hopefully soon! :)

We are currently at 32 degrees, sun has just come up, and today we should reach of high of 68 degrees!! The next few days we will touch the big 70 degrees!! Grass is starting to turn green here and there, and hopefully the leaves will start to pop out of the trees!
Felt good to get outside for a nice walk in the late evening sun, finally I suspect spring may be coming..... JW I lost a cell phone on the road last year, but some mean man who hates my puppies too it! You must be the good cell phone fairy!! :)

Finally my weather looks like a steady upward trend. 58 today, then slowly moving up to 70 by Sunday! I can handle that. I sprayed my very tall grass with Weed B Gone last night, kept the dogs inside for several hours for it to dry in the windy weather. Need to get another bottle to finish the backyard, but going to my cousin's house tonight after work to admire their new landscaping, and he wants to ask me about putting in a waterfall. What fun! Guess I'll mow on Fri. and spray after that so it will stay on the weeds longer, have a better chance of killing the pretty yellow flowers, although I don't have very many this year so far.

Wow 4 days in a row so far of sunshine! We too have those pretty yellow flowers in our grass CE and since we are keeping it longer now at 3" they don't get cut off as much. Still supposed to be better for the grass to keep it longer rather than scalping it. Scalp it and weeds love to take over big time and moss too.

I remember that man who took your cell phone. Shame, shame on him Colleen!
