Still raining here. Almost 6 inches so far. Sump pump died last night but I caught it in time so we didn't have a flooded basement. My hwy I take home is flooded so ill be going a different route tonight. Took some of the guys at work 2 hrs to get in this morning bc all of the flooded roads. Most of them found out the hard way by driving and bam, in the water.

I am having colder than normal spring cause of global cooling! Everybody get out there and drive a big gas sucking 1970's vehicle around for me and burn MORE fossil fuels please! Ha ha ha
Haven't you gotten the word. The new threat is climate change! That way they have all the bases covered.
Sure would like to see a year with decent rainfall. We had insult snow last night. Just enough to let you know snow is possible but you are not getting any. A teaser. Nearly 2PM and just 35F.

Yesterday was really nice, and I got some much-needed work done on the turtle-bogs. Was going to finish today, but around 11am, front came through, temps dropped [it seemed like] 20 degrees, and the heavens opened! Been raining ever since, and in the upper 40's. The rain is good for the pond 'cause I had to do a slight draw-down yesterday, and now it's filled back up. But the wet is going to slow down progress on getting the main bog built.

Went outside to check if the pump I setup to cycle my barrel filter was running. The cord was a bit to short so I rearranged things a bit and knocked the pipes apart in the attached pond/trough.

When I put one joint back together the next would fall apart. Just to insult me the input end even came off. It might have helped if I turn off the pump. But in the few minutes it took to do that i about froze my arm. Man that water is cold. It makes on wonder how the fish feel with 60+ one day and cold the next.

aww get some aloe Sissy, bummer you got blisters. I usually don't burn if I start slow, my skin is never the color a dermatologist likes to see, i.e. white. Spend way too much time outside.
