It was warm enough to work outside but it was windy in the afternoon. Dug the hole for the 2nd railroad tie on the new pond and pushed it into place with the tractor but that is as far as I got. Need to level and back fill it tomorrow. Need to feel more motivated :) Took a few pics to post to my pond build thread once I get a little more done.

Down in town it's starting to get really green but up here where I live it takes a little longer for things to start growing. My grass is just starting to get a little green and I notice my bleeding heart is just starting to pop out of the ground. Right now it is snowing again :(. A low of 26F currently and only a high of 39F today with rain and snow showers.

51 already at 10 am and headed up again .Weeds geeze this is the 4 th time I have had to mow my grass .i fertilized it in the fall and now it is green and growing .I have to try to get my waterfall done today because it calls for rain tomorrow .I just want to get the new liner in and at least the rocks around the edge to hold it in place .Insulation is in against the block wall and insulation is in under where the tank goes and it has lots of drainage holes drilled in it .Tank is there for reference but does not have the tank adapters in it yet and not worried since I have a temp. filter set up there .

only 51 so far but the sun is trying to come out ... need to check the pond temp ... with the warm spell we had, think the fish are confused. Got up to FOAM aound the little water fall and nearby plants ... thinking they spawned... too early for that! Foam is gone now but the fish are still hanging out where it was ... if a spawning, we should be FINDING some babies in about 10-14 days (once they get up to 1/4" in size) ...
