This is the warmest day this year!!! Temperature right now is 57 degrees, no wind, not a breeze. I have been outside all day, cleaned around the deck and tended to my greenhouse succlents. Wore a tank top and long shorts and soaked up the sun on my deck with the lounging fat Poppy!

Today in Canada ..... spring has sprung in Medicine Hat!

No moles needed thank you very much sissy! My cats are not doing their job of catching them. Bad kitties!
Sissy that's too bad about your trees. Can't they be saved at all? Sometimes they will come up from below or send out side shoots.

Oh that terrible, poor trees! I would love to have a peach tree or a real cherry tree! I hope they come back Sissy!
Had such a nice day, I soaked up a ton of sun working around the deck this afternoon, and now I feel so good! Just can't believe how some of you guys way down south from me have snow and cold temperatures! I think the "poles" must have reversed!!

sure colleen I saw the cushions on the bench had butt marks . They are are grafted trees so they are on root stock from another kind of tree .They were the shorter fruit trees and they are grafted on root stock these days to make them harder but not strong i guess ,I don't like to stake trees because it is not good for them ,makes them weaker

Cherries are sooo good...my favorite fruit. They grow really well here. Every year I say I'm going to get one. Today, yeah today is the day to plant a cherry tree....weather guy says it's going to be in the 80's. Good day for planting a tree. Peaches are my favorite, too. Someday maybe there will be a Peacherry tree. Yum

Pond slider bragging about tempertures in the 80's! Must be nice! Send me some big juicy Florida oranges where they are ripe please!! Well up here in Canada we are going to 49 today, not as warm as yesterday, but better than freezing and cold!!

Did yoy know that the daylight in march progresses very fast and by the end of the month I will have almost a extra hour and a half of sun! The spring equinox is just around the corner and I swear I can almost see it from here!

hey colleen what you complaining about it could be 9 degrees and not 49 .Love my fruit trees and called the tree farm yesterday and he said he will replace them and I can pick them up next week if the temps stay above 45 if not i will have to wait .He wants to get them up while they are still dorment but also does not want the roots to freeze .He has pretty good prices for his fruit trees only 10 dollars for a 6 ft tree and he told me he would give me the 10 ft trees to replace them .I want another apple tree too .

Prison gray day here w/ a flat 54f predicted and flat 54f right now. Rain rolling in later today w/ 37f predicted tonight. Kind of windy too.
I'd like to have an apple tree but they seem to get the maggots and other stuff that wrecks them. Too much trouble putting footies on all the little apples when they appear. Our Frost Peach tree does quite well here. Still waiting to see if we get many cherries and if the birds beat us to them. Might have to net that one.

I spray my fruit trees and now even easier because they have the tree spikes that have food and bug and fruit tree fertilizer in them .All you do is hammer them into the ground .I use jobes ones ,
