WELL I can't complain, weather here has been unbelieveably nice! Me and the hubby drove to the top of the river Coulee hill and we sat in the truck in the sun, I had a coffee and we had a nice day. My sweet pea made me some supper! He is discovering new foods to eat with the new mouth, healing very very nice, all is well!

We are getting sleet, ice, snow, but not a lot, ie feet we are in the inches range, ground is covered right now. The main part of the storm is north of us actually north of pa too. Right now it is snowing, cold enough to cover everything. Not expected to get deep here. NY Maine etc will be getting smacked, flights being canceled already for up there.

Hoping you get "pretty" snow, Addy, not "dangerous" blizzard!
Colleen, did you make the puppies run the while way to the hill? LOL Or, can I assume they hitched a ride in the back of the truck? Glad to hear your hubby continues to improve and feel better and look better, too! He has a new lease on life, and sounds like he is embracing it. I'm really happy for both of you. So, what did he make you for supper last night?

:cold: Started snowing last night around 6:00 and hasn't stopped yet! Two feet of the white stuff on the back deck, and the wind keeps blowing more down from the North Pole!!! :grumble:

CE hubby made some rice.a.roni I mixed with sausage that was crumbled into bits. I would have added fresh frozen peas and or beans but hubby makes what he likes and I actually liked it! :)

We drive out to the top of the hill and then let the puppies out to sniff and pick up their "pee-mail" ha ha ha. I usually walk with them but hubby does not get out of truck much, so I hang out with him. When the weather is warmer I got to get him out walking more, but he is always cold since he lost so much weight and still very weak.

The clipper is joining with warm moist air / i.e. storms from the south. When the two collide we get what is called a north easter. We had multiple nor easters the winter of 2009 when we ended up with 60 inches of snow over the winter. This one is missing us, the clipper stayed north

Two feet of snow is something we never get around where I live. I think the biggest snow storm I remember was in about 1980 or so. Got right close to 20" and it pretty much shut things down for that weekend. I'm glad this bad storm is happening today and tonight, and the cleaning crews will have all weekend to get things cleaned up. We shall see how those Mayors and the Govenor's orders will be followed through! They said no vehicles on the roads after 4 p.m. today, or you go to jail. You know there will be people just trying to go out and mess around in the snow. Just cause danger for everyone.

I think we all feel extra lazy today because we are in a "no moon" cycle. It's going to be extra dark for the next few nights as the moon will barely be out and if there is clouds too then the starlight will also be gone and the night will be "pitch black" .... unless you have snow to reflect the glow of the street lights.

I remember one time our military unit was doing a night exercise in the middle of nowhere "Suffield" during a hot summer night, with no moon and clouds blocked any starlight. It was pitch black and we were not allowed any lights other than a very dim thin "red" light for map reading. It was so dark you could not see your hands in front of your face, and the low cloud cover made a mosquito buzz sound loud...

The moon draws the tide and can make us more "active", so when the moon is absent we become lazy. That's my theory !

Currently 33 degrees, but I fear the temperature all be much colder by Sunday, supposed to get down to 14 Fahrenheit! Not complaining cause it could be much much worse! :)
