Sounds like a wonderful excuse to me, Colleen! I'm always looking for good excuses to be lazy. I'm ready to go snuggle in my bed and read a bit. Been watching American Pickers. But, just realized I didn't go feed the horses/mule before I sat down here. Shame on me! Better head out there and get them fed THEN go snuggle in my bed. Work before ... rest.

Yes feed the poor animals, they are most likely waiting for their nightly feeding.... if they were not in a barn do you think they would come looking for you if you missed a feeding? I remember my Auntie years ago that had a cow that would come looking for her so she could milk it, if she forgot or was late! :)

I think the weather here has killed my poor Mexican Fan Palm. Christmas lights around the trunk did not help it. Guess I better stick w/ hardy palms. Getting colder here now below freezing tonight. New Moon and new baby coming on Sunday

JW, your family is sure busy with babies! How many kids now Grandma!

Well currently sitting at 23f, waiting for coffee to finish brewing, have to work today for 4 hours, we seem to get short shift these days, not complaining cause this way I get to rush home and still have some sun left to take puppies to park.

That fish tank that I had full of plady fish, lots of the adults died after giving birth it seems, they must have a short life cycle, but I am left with lots of babies all over!

Temperatures here start out around 64degF and can get up around 86degF. We have only had a handfull of wet days in the last 3 months. I am still loving it despite my having to water the gardens every other day.

Platys don't live too long, maybe a year. Probably shorter life if have babies. I have several in my 55 gal tank, down to just one now. Big male died a month ago. But the last female looks like she has changed to 3 colors of orange. Not sure if that's a bad thing, sick, but she swims and looks perfectly fine!
Ryan, you better let Santa out, or he won't get all the toys made for next year!
Supposed to be "partly cloudy" today, which I translate into "mostly sunny", but so far no sunshine. I'm going to shut all moving water down and take pics of the fish when the sun comes out, or maybe it would be better to do now, with no reflections? Probably will do both, see which is best. Last time I looked temp was up to 32, heading up to mid 40's today.

Welcome, Marcus!!!! Looks like you are fairly new to our Forums. Happy to see new member. Do you have any pics of your pond and gardens to share with us? We all love pics, and you're welcome to post them here, too! Quite a few people follow this post, as we tend to be "weather bugs" here.

So, is the baby planned C-Section, or do you have some other plan that will be sure to bring the little one into the world on a specific day?! Congrats on your 2nd grandchild, JW.
