snow spitting off and on, it was not supposed to snow until 3p. They are closing schools 2 hours early. It is so cold any that falls with not melt, even with the salt treatment, it will melt then refreeze. Honey said the heck with it and left work early. The last thing he wants to do is get stuck in rush hour friday get out of dc traffic in a snow storm.

I know there are at least 7 or 8 but this is the first pic I have been able to get as they hide under the waterfall where the liner hangs over or over by the pots of grasses

What nice weather up here in Canada, currently 41 degrees fahrenheit! Sissy I put in a good word for you with Old Man Winter, he listens to me cause I got him beat into submission, he does not mess with my ponds too much and I got big scary 1500 watt Cattle trough Heater that helps keep him away. :) It also helps to be "in tight" with my good spring sister, Miss Sunny Solstice, I do a dance for her around the campfire on the 21 June every year, now she must like me. She is good at giving Old Man Winter a run for his money this year! Ha ha

Weather advisory again. Snow/ freezing rain until noon today. I can here rain hitting the roof now. I hate it when it rains on snow packed roads, you have a 50 percent chance of the road either turning to slush or a sheet of solid ice. It gets so slick that you can't even stand on it. I live 2 miles up from the bottom of the hill, but there are flat areas it's not just all hill ( I would actually call it a small mountain). There are people that live higher then me and I wouldn't want to be up any higher then what I am. Anyway there are five areas that can get hairy going down for me and I just kinda hug the ditch. :( This occurrence seems to happen more and more with the warmer winters. Keep thinking I want to move off here but another three to five years I'll retire and won't have to drive down the road if it is icy :). I really do love it up here we are close to town but are out in the country. I love the wild life we get here and it's so peaceful to go out and sit on the deck during the summer. We have 36 acres and only one neighbor that's even remotely close. We really can't see them any more due to the trees.

Keep that weather down there My pond! we hate it too, and that will cut into my early spring plans.....
The robins were very busy chirping about spring too, this bright sunny morning. The robins were so darn noisy this morning they woke me up on my day off! Currently around 7 degrees Fahrenheit but feels much warmer if you stand in the sun nice!

Pond heater was not plugged in for two days now. Top two ponds have little ice, while bottom pond still half covered with ice. Pumps running good, bottom pond filter will have to be cleaned soon, maybe early next month, have not cleaned it since last fall.
