What is your weather like ... today

Can you belive it, about 74 today. Cold weather on its way.

On our coldest night the temp at my pond was zero degrees and factor in the wind. This caused my water flow to freeze over and all the water except about 4 inches went out into the yard to create a miniature skating rink. My boys and I had to get the fish, snails, frogs out so we could get them in a tank in the garage. We had to crawl under several inches of ice and wade in the water. While we were doing this it was 12 degrees out with a light wind. We were frozen! All the koi’s and shubunkins are ok but we did lose some of the mosquito fish. Frogs are ok to. What a newbie move on my part to keep my pump going. I knew i had to get it out and just let it keep sliding! Never again! Always did it in the past just fine. So lesson learned. Now I have to wait for spring to get them back in there.

Glad you were able to save your fish! We all have these oppppppppppps moments.

Glad you saved the fish. I had my bog line freeze Monday night. Had to cut the line coming off the main feed and put a rubber cap on it for now. Gonna have another cold night. Was a nice and warm 3 degrees this morning. Think the heater on the pond is making some progress. Still had some open water this morning. Waterfall has a nice ice shell on it. Gonna warm up this weekend.

Warming up here now and up to 45F now, had to take my sweater off under my coat today while out walking............could Spring be on the way soon? I hope so but lets go easy on the rain this Spring please B)

Wow, how are some of you getting those warms temps? ICSD and I are still in the cold, was only high 20's here. I'm ready for it to get above freezing at least! I don't mind short cold snaps, but usually after a few days, the temps are back up to high 30's at least. Maybe tomorrow. I thought supposed to be bad weather here, but maybe south or north, but for me, looks like only slight chance of snow early a.m., then sunny and high 30's! Woohoo, loving it!

We sat here in the cold w/ no rain for 10 days straight and now we deserve a break of some warmth..............well not really warm but not freezing anymore but w/ that comes the rain and why couldn't we have gotten the precipitation when it was darn cold so we could have had a bunch of snow? Well I don't control the weather so I just take what comes my way CE and mostly just grin and bear the rains after living my whole life here in this Evergreen State or ours. Did spend 2 yrs in Michigan and man did they get the snow!

Yes i am ready for warm weather! After all the things i have had to do int eh cold I am ready.

We get our worst winter weather in Jan & Feb, usually ice. Really hoping we have a true spring. Some years we have two seasons, summer and winter, no joke. To be a 10 degree drop by morning.

11 here and snow coming this afternoon............30 on monday, .then 55 on tuesday, 25 degree increase overnight

13 degrees here .snow they say but supposed to be a fast clipper storm .We will see

Wow, I saw 50's on Mon. & Tues., too! I'll take it, even though supposed to rain those days, too. I suspect the rain will melt all the ice as well, too, which will make me very happy. No ice last night which also makes me happy. South of me, those of you in KY and southern IN ... I feel sorry for you.

I went by puter temps and not here so went out to look and turned on local weather and it is 28 out and starting to see little ice pellets coming down .and it is only 9:30 and the said storm not supposed to get here until 4 but news said it was moving faster than expected

21 degrees and snow falling!

snow stopped only a dusting and covered roads since I guess they were colder from the last couple of days .Grass has nothing on it
