Currently 12 F and I just read the farmers Almanac (my region) for today and we are supposed to have above normal temperatures for January, which we have been having, but February we should see below normal temperatures, Just going to have to wait a little longer for spring... :(

Haha, after Brandonsdad, Sissy, JW and Addy were fueding for the one to post the first one on page 200, it was Colleen who did it! I love a good steak, medium rare (but know how to cook it any way, my son likes it well done), and lobster, and a big salad, and bakes tater (yep, we can do that on the camp fire, on the coals) with sour cream, butter, bacon bits! Yep, see I was listening! LOL You all just make your way over to my place in Illinois, and we'll have a BIG party! But, Colleen is the WINNER!!!! Thanks everyone for enjoying this thread. I also love whoever started the weather banner, as it's fun to see what the temps are in F and C as well!

Weather sucks, cloudy day with no sun = no fun.... Temp not too bad at 19 fahrenheit, going to make the best of it and take the puppies soon to the park, tidy the house later, and possibly sneak home another fish tank I have been eyeballing.... but I have a method to my madness, little tanks are cheap, easy to clean, brings me and hubby much happiness and I get to "play" with it! I got lots of guppies and it is fun to play with fish, water, little rocks and sand in the warm house, this way I get my "pond fix" on a smaller scale. Nobody to tell me no I can't have more fish tanks... they let me loose! I only got seven tanks in the house, three in the living room. It's too cold to dig another pond and take over the garden... that's my evil plan, take the garden space over cause hubby don't need to grow anymore tobacco and I have been eyeballing that corner of the garden for a few years now. Ha Ha Ha H a. H a a ..... the ponds will be everywhere soon.... ho ho HOOOO Hee Hee Heeeee Ha Ha Haaa hubby does not know this yet..... that's why I am laughing like a Mad Hatter!!!

OMG, you ladies are a hoot! Yep, I have room for anyone and everyone. In fact, if I got a bunch of air mattresses, I could probably sleep 50 people here. LOL Seriously, I have 2 queen beds, 2 twins, and a queen and twin air mattress. Plus the horse trailer has a queen mattress. haha It used to be the fun place for nieces and nephews when they came to visit ... when they were allowed to stay at our house that is! Since being on my own, I have all sorts of family come every year, many times a year, and I love it each and every time, too!
Colleen, I have 2 aquariums in my living room. I sit across from them, and enjoy them immensely during the winter especially when I can't be outside. Love to watch the fish, one is tropical (angels, platys, killifish, plecos, loaches, etc.) and the other is brackish (puffers, mollies, mono and an archer). Only thing missing is a salt water, but I've been there, done that, it's more work than I want to deal with.
Sissy, the water heaters don't turn on unless the water temp gets below 35 or something like that. They are thermostatically controlled. But, they do take a lot of electricity when they run, that's for sure.

I think it would be a blast. Could put some faces with the names. My fishing group did this a few years ago and the wife, kids and I went to it. It was a really good time, everyone brought food but the guy that organized the event owned a catering company so he just brought his camper packed full of food and he did all the meals. Got in some really good fishing and made some good friends.
