Same here What ice was on pond was gone at noon or so. We did not get as low as 20 but it still froze over night. 28 i think it was. Sounds like we faired very well compared to others. Draco sure caused some major problems!

-23C/-10F this morning with some flurries. Looks like we'll have these temperatures until mid-week.
We've had snow cover since mid October.

-13c / 9F here right now, snow falling like crazy, had to shovel the walks this morning. Deer made a mess of my snow pile and walked through flower garden and stomped the snow under the Siberian Crab apple tree. Going to give them a Christmas dinner tomorrow, old tomatos from the green house, a couple pumpkins and some apples. :) All is Merry and Bright!

We have sun shining through some slight clouds...............lots better than rain and it's heading up in the 40's. Will need to get out and rake the mole hills and hubby will work on the extra wood storage now that it's not so wet out there. I'll need to start cleaning(E-gads) some on the house for company coming on Christmas

Reporting in from the North Pole tonight, the tundra is frozen solid at zero Fahrenheit, snow is everywhere and Santa's workshop going full speed ahead, just over the hill, see the stream from across the horizon over yonder.... I'm dreaming of an tropical island Christmas.....

Not too cold here today, now 43F and Colleen we have hardwood floors and the carpeted areas are wall to wall so need to vacuum them tomorrow. Ran out of steam today. Had to wrap a giant box w/ a combo stoller/baby car seat and it was a pain. It's for new grandbaby coming in February. Got cupboards all wiped down and fridge. Dusted here and there and wrapped some more prezzie's. Now having a nice drinkie and feeling fine

It was 9F here this morning. Waterfall has a ice shell covering it now. 95% of the pond is iced over now with a good layer of ice. When I was adding water I melted a hole in the ice with the warm water. Over the deepest part of the pond the ice is about 3 inches thick. Still have open water from the waterfall to the skim box. Going to have some single digit lows this week. I have no doubt now that I will be able to keep the pond going now all winter. Going to be going up north next week for my winter fly fishing trip. Just me and my jeep. Plan on camping in a tent for a few days right along the trout streams. Yeah it will be cold, but its some of the best fishing. Just pack my fleece pants, put on my fishing waders and go fishing.

I can't believe the weather peeps are filling us all w/ false hope here...........they are saying we might get snow on Christmas morning................that would be a miracle here as we hardly ever have a White Christmas and we also hardly ever believe the weather peeps
xmassmiley12.gif

Not raining here and sun trying hard to sneak by the clouds at 36* right now. Today I must finish cleaning and raking the mole hills so they can erupt again in the snow we are supposedly getting
