Supposedly a storm of 4" and then a blizzard after that. Oh boy here we go!

We got ripped off royally as all the places south of our area got a white Christmas here in this state but us up north got nothing. Oh well better luck next time! Maybe we'll get snow in February 2013 like we did at the beginning of this year. Anyone have any blizzards they want to share w/ me

Low tonight 17F, high tomorrow 28F with a few snow showers throughout the day.
Sorry to here j.w. that you didn't have a white Christmas. I would of shared some of our snow if I could of. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

Hubby & I walked the neighborhood last night to check out the lights. We like to walk in the snow, especially the big fluffy wet stuff but no white Christmas here. Got up this am and went to take the ashes out from the woodstove and lo and behold- big fluffy wet snow! The ground was actually covered but by the time I got hubby up it had changed over to rain.

Sky looks pink right now, but sun not comming up for another two and a half hours here, maybe more snow is coming!

Currently at 1F. Pond is 98% ice covered with a small area in front of the waterfall still open water. Not getting worried yet, but will be picking up a heater just for stand by. I can still see fishies swimming when they pass thru the pond lights.

Windy rainy and glad to see rain again and high of 48 today and have to take hubby to the eye doctor to check the eye he had surgery on and then the other surgery gets done friday .HAPPY NEW YEAR HUBBY WITH NEW EYESIGHT :razz:

Gosh it's raining here and 37*.........what a surprise! Sitting here looking at addy's camera windows in Maryland where she is getting some gently falling flakes now and then. I used her snow yesterday as my white Christmas. Still snow on the ground there today and looks pretty although it must be nice to be in warm sunny Florida laying on the beach and swimming in the pool B)

[sub]It is snowing lightly and at 33 degrees F. Fish are slow in the pond and for the most part snuggling to each other. Hurry up spring![/sub]

Still cold but not as bad as this morning. Had a low of 1F. The pond is 99.78% ice covered now. Got out on the ice this after noon and the ice is just over 4" thick. I cut a small piece out so I could measure it. Took this short video of the waterfall while I was on the ice.

Looks like its flowing quite nice under the ice Brandonsdad, if you get a heater it will keep a hole open ice. I don't keep it plugged in all the time as even with an automatic shut off, it still draws some electricity. I probally keep my pond heater on more then I need to, but hubby likes to see open water. Although with heater and open water you get more evaporation.
Going to -7F overnite.

Storm blew in from the US last night, dumping about 3" of powdery snow. If I throw my back out shovelling, I'll blame it on Koiguy!
