Sorry to hear you folks are getting hit so hard. But glad to see you here having some resemblance of normalcy. Hope your friends and love ones are doing ok.
There is so much that's wrong today. I'd love to send all those screaming here in the USA there let them see what real problems look like. And as bad as things are there turkey and Seria are right there with you.
Hope you are going to weather the aftermath without to many issues

We are getting snow and ice on Saturday, but they are saying not measurable. We have had about 1/4 inch of snow this winter.

Have to admit the snow blower has only gathered dust this year. While very happy to have the snow blower not upset it didn't move this winter

Got a tiny bit of snow last night.............no biggy but temps are falling now. Saying 14f for a low tomorrow night. I'd rather keep it at 32f and more snow but then who am I?

Last I looked outside it was pretty icy out. Trees were covered. Driveway is all ice. I wouldn't say it was much worse than what I usually see every couple years, but it's still coming down. Who knows how bad it could be in the morning. My neighbor had a small branch down, and I swear I heard a tree cracking but couldn't see anything down. Power also went out for a few seconds at one point but thankfully came back on.

but cLimAtE cHaNgE iSnT rEaL...

Climate change is of course real - it's the cause that's debatable. We've had five mass extinction events (that we know of) in the last 500 million years on Earth. What caused them? It wasn't automobiles or cow flatulence or any of the other targets that get the blame today. Volcanic activity, glacial movement, asteroids hitting the earth, tectonic uplift... nothing that a paper straw will fix, that's for sure. We are ultimately at the mercy of nature and she can be a real B.

The devastation that a weather event can cause is tragic. It's always heartbreaking to hear of lives lost.

The ice storm was not fun. Went without power all night. Had to stay awake and babysit a generator. Large and medium branches down all over the place. You could hear them snapping and falling all night. Watched the sky light up green with electricity a few times overnight. It was wild.

Hello all of you weather watcher/lovers!!!
I’m in Cincinnati OH now and we had a record breaking high yesterday! The previous record was in 1922, so we broke a 101 year record. I believe the high was 73°F yesterday, the record was 71. Today may break another record, we shall see.
Oh but then we may also break a record low today, too! I wonder if that has ever happened? Record high AND low on the same day?!? Our low tonight is expected to get down to the 20’s. Bleh …
Had our first daffodils bloom today. Yay!!!
Tulips I planted last fall are coming up right beside the daffodil bulbs.
And I even spotted a sunflower seedling under the bird feeder! Now that’s hardiness … a sunflower growing in mid-Feb, zone 6a! It won’t make it past the freezes coming up, but I still applaud its attempt.

My water Hawthorne survived being dumped mid winter from one pond to another. Sank way to deep. All leaves mush.

I got it back up to 8 inches deep, and yeah now have 5 leaves and a bunch of flowers. Anti heron net laying on pond to hard to move for a better pic.
