Flash freeze coming 45f now dropping to 12ish by mid afternoon. Real feel minus 20, wind chill. Burrrrrrr

Well, Its warmed up to a balmy -20 C. {-8F) but boy is it snowing!
Then and Now: Then - Sunbathing comet - He did this every morning if the sun was out.

Our river below us started to freeze yesterday!

On way to airport, pouring rain, sleet. Coming back home, rain, snow, then howling winds.

We went from 50 this am to 12 with winds chills in the minus.

This morning it's now 2 degrees outside with a wind-chill of minus 8. Air temp in pond greenhouse is 28. Water temp in the pond is 48, down from 51 yesterday.

I think that might be the largest air temperature range from inside that pond cover to outside air temperature that we have ever had.

3 f here. -15 wind chill. Darn cold the kids have new warm jackets bought just for this mess. They do their business FAST!

No thank you to the cold..................we are almost up to 50f this morning and I feel like I'm in the Bahama's on a balmy vacation. Snow is still packed up out there trying to melt w/the help of the rain. Just hope the wind dies down and no power outages today! Innards feel weird this morning and hoping it's not Diverticulitis that pops up w/me once in awhile! We are having Christmas Eve w/all kinds of good food here today and I won't be able to eat any of it I fear! Drat, and double drat!

We just had rain, sleet,snow, BUT roads are dry. No accumulation of ice, snow. We are just dealing with the cold. Now next weekend is slated to be warmer than normal, like 60.

Other places are in horrible shape. Unreal snow fall, ice accumulation. I feel for them.

The whole world is watching us thank god its for a big freeze right now. But i fear it's soon to be lack of heating fuels in the very near future. In the north east we are at 1/3 the reserves we should have going into winter. And yet not many are pissed yet.
