24F now with snow on the way. Will get to 32F later today. Still have plenty of leaves to rake and not a lick of sun to be seen.

I'm glad it's not doing that here yet! We could really use the moisture, we're in a very serious drought, but there's still so much to do outside, just to be ready for rain or snow. Weather report shows none in sight, which is a mixed blessing. We had very little snow pack last year and almost no rain since early spring.

Stephen......We probably went through....maybe close....from Olympic National Park through Oregon and we ended up on a Sunday morning going to Mass at a little church in Ontario,Oregon.....since when we are road tripping we try to stay off the interstate....there were a couple of small towns that had flashing signs up “No irrigation until further notice “ ..... that caught my eye....you have a beautiful state and we are going back to explore some more.....hope you get some rain/snow soon

Due to Ore-Ida onion and potato processing, Ontario (in the Treasure Valley) often has an inversion and it stinks! We always referred to Ontario as the arm-pit of Oregon. A few hundred tons of rotting onions and potatoes will do that. Otherwise, Oregon is truly an amazing place.

The horrendous Camp fire south of us by a couple hundred miles is in the D2 Severe drought category and we are in the next level up, D3 Extreme. We have been very lucky no fires have happened here. We are near Agency lake, about 25 miles north of Klamath Falls, and only about 10 miles from the Cascade Mountains. Ontario is on the very far eastern edge of Oregon. We're closer to the ocean than we are Ontario, which is just fine with us.
