We go to an enclosed neighborhood for our youngest to trick or treat with hundreds of others. I think yesterday here was a bit of a wild day. Most of the high school kids never made it to school, as they dissed school to go to the red Sox parade in Boston. And yes my son was among the many missing school kids, because apparently I would be the "worst mother in the the world because everyone else is going" if I did not allow my son to go. So yesterday morning, at the crack of dawn I was calling the absence line at the school to leave a machine message before a human could answer the office phone needing a reason for his absence. I don't think I was the only bad mother out there yesterday if the line of cars at the train station was anything to go by, each one was dumping between two and three teens out, I had my son and friends in my car, and they were just about giddy with excitement at the day ahead. Today I must ignore all the tiny Halloween candy in the house, I am tidying the garage so the car will fit before winter comes.
