What is your weather like ... today

Nothing but big bright sunshine! Got lots of weeding done yesterday and today I will continue on w/the job, after my walk of course

39°F today. The pond was completely thawed out.

The 40s that were in the forecast are now 30s. The 50s that were in the forecast are now 40s. Oh well. Still looks like there may be one or two decent days toward next weekend.

My filter is a failure, pure silicone doesn’t hold well on plastic. But the fish like the fountain. The cat did too. He sat on the edge, watching the fish, tried to check out the fountain, water level is too low for him to reach. If he manages to fall in, I hope he’s smart enough to go to the ladder or the filter box.

Ponds iced over...........we just got a spit of snow

It snowed all day yesterday and tonight we're expecting single digit temps but the is still running fine with no ice for now

Our sun is gone for now. I filled my pond up as it looked a bit low. It is back down to low. Looks like I have some checking to do as somewhere it is leaking out. I think the rocks have settled and pulled the liner down. Hope that's all!

My upper pond that was not covered was ice over this morning as well. It was down to -13 C (about 7 F) last night and have not been uaing heater for pond cause its warmer during the day. Ice half melted by noon.

Shockeroo, sun was back for awhile on my nice long walk. Was able to do the full 6 miles since having the Plantar Faciitis. Sun in and out now tho and wind picking up which is always a sign of a weather change here. Windmill spinning like crazy. Big gray clouds moving in for the kill! Darn wanted to try out my new bicycle seat on a good long ride. Tried it up and down the street and so far it feels great! Much cushier than the one that came w/the bike.

My fish tend to be shy, but they were telling me they want me to start feeding them again. I tossed some wild garlic greens in since they’d ate the lettuce leaves I’d tossed in. Also a pic of my failed filter, it circulates the water a bit. Better than nothing, but not as good as I’d planned. I do like the sound though. And my very pregnant cat, just cause.

Well, the "warm" forecast is now gone. The warmest day looks to be Sunday, around 48°F. Long-term temperature trends don't look too exciting, either.

Guess I'll have to wait longer for those 50s and 60s.

We are hanging below normal. Last year we were way above normal.

Minus 10 Celsius right now. Ponds running fine wirh no heater this month. Daytime temps warming slowly and any ice on pond melts quick with pumps running.

Sun is very strong this time of the year so even its its minus 10 outside in morning, I have to shut heater off in greenhouse as soon as sun comes up and open door a bit to vent greenhouse.
