Fire down the road from us. 6 acres burned and 25 homes evacuated. Helicopters w/water buckets were dumping water on it. Road closed in and out of here to town. Think it's under control now. Was a nice sunny day till the smoke crept in on us again. Hope no embers float anywhere and start any more. It's dry as toast here and where is my rain?

I like my bones in one piece. The dolphins kept swimming by, must have had some fish schooling. Fun to watch them pop out of the water, a real large school.

We are heading home, Jose is coming on a skim by, waves would be neat to watch, but the blowing sand would hurt. Predicting winds of 30mph gusts to 40ish. They tend to close the bay bridge with high winds so we are heading out a day early.

Got a neat picture of this newish baby! Missy was on horse watch!

Darn @addy1 another hurricane! I heard this morning one called Maria, cat 3 was making her debut on Puerto Rico again. Not good at all!

We got our rain but not pouring like we hoped. Temps falling, only 52 now. Might make it to 61 if lucky. Rain off and on but sun predicted for the weekend,yay!

Rain was pounding down on me on my walk today, thunder rumbling in the distance and hail bouncing off me and the cars. Everything is wet out there, no more smoke or dust !!!!

90F yesterday, heading to 88 f today..................But this warm high pressure is keeping Marie from coming in land and smacking us................we hope.
