My water had been so murky the past few weeks I've been almost embarrassed to post pictures. Got a new filter in and now things are clear enough that I can share pictures once again. Sadly due to a plumbing mishap a few weeks ago, I lost 2 of my goldfish. :(

Sometimes you visit the garden center at the local grocery store, you can find some unexpected treasures. I scored an Umbrella Palm, a Corkscrew Rush, and a Blue Arrow Rush.

I haven't done anything with the ponds this year due to injury. I got the air pump in today but it won't run more than 2 stones so need to see what's up. I had to pull most of the watercress from the bog. This year I didn't even plant any and it took over.

I just heard the sound of a tree falling. At first I assumed it was my willow tree which has been dropping large branches for years, but as it turns out, my neighbors tree snapped off. Probably hard to completely make out, but it fell just a couple feet short of hitting my fence. No damage to my stuff but more importantly no damage to theirs. It could not have fallen in a better place considering their garage that's right under it and their house isn't far away either.

Now thats what those plastic tub's are perfect for NICE JOB!
Thanks! I have an aquarium background, so when I first designed the filter system it was more of a traditional sponge type. Cleaning the sponges quickly became tiresome and I was reading up here on bogs, so this seemed a good fit to free me from the sponges, keep the water quality high, and really, it doesn't look bad either.
I am pleasantly surprised by the overall results so far!

Great way to camouflage the tub!
Thanks! I don't really have the room around it to camouflage it with plants (at least not that I figured out yet) so this seemed the next best thing. A little more natural looking, and it breaks up the straight edge that the top rim would have. Soon, maybe the creeping jenny or some other type of plant that likes to grow down off ledges will grow in the bog and drape down the sides.
