Looks kinda like Wire Vine to me but hard to see it that well. I have it but not near my pond as it really likes to take over and climb up anything!
its not a vine

Thanks . Yeah I learned my lesson with vines . I have big blue lipiore that I'm going to go with on a mass planting along the streamthe obedient is anything but. And also some native grass I found at a pond it's about 8 inches tall and has little tufts at the tips that look like mini puffed rice. Bought 300 sprigs should be plenty to make a very thick weed free planting but damn if it's not going to take some time.

But it sure blooms pretty! Mine is in full flower right now. And it flowers for 2-3 weeks if not longer. The bugs, bees love it.

Beautiful! Mine is just about ready to get started blooming. And, while it does have a tendency to run, it's also really easy to rip out if it spreads beyond where you want it.

I pulled a few wheel barrels full of hyacinth out of the two ponds, that stuff grows fast when it is happy and it is happy this year.
Had to check through all the roots for the critters that live in them. Baby dragon fly larvae, tiny tiny trap door snail babies, etc. Some were full of critters they got put back into the pond.

Just remember the more water you push with a pump the higher the head pressure will get and the higher the electric bill will go . Sometimes a second pump making two areas look like one. But driving the electric cost down .

In the course of 1 month my pond went from being barren of plants to abundant of plants! I actually found a nearby neighbor who also has a pond and needed some of her plants cleared out and yesterday I got a nice load of water clover. It’s still getting established so right now it looks a little messy. I also took home some hornwort and submerged it near the fountain.

I would like to thank Addy1 most of these plants as well as my nearby neighbor. Things will look neater once everything becomes established.

The more he sees you the less it will jump away don't be afraid to move toward them. I have had many that will be sitting on a Boulder and let me sit right next to them so long as there is no quick movements

Where was he when I was in the pond a few days ago... And a spider got on my shoulder from the floating plants? Haha... Caught me off guard. He was trying to take the ferry off that plant island...

Redid the stream and got rid of the old streamlet after an issue with the liner underneath the header that resulted in a leak and the floor of the flowerbed being flooded. Made the stream a lot wider and added pea gravel and polished decorative rock to add some character to the stream. Love how my Mexican Heather has spread out over the stream.
