Took a break from extracting honey and snapped a few pictures. The lilies are blooming beautifully. And a frog has survived the snake attacks, didn't see it when taking the picture.

The pond water is crystal clear, the hornwort starting to take off and grow its forest.

I keep my special ie expensive, lilies in the hot tub pond. Best way to keep track of them.

Looking at the fish herd, I think the snakes of taken a few. I added 125, it does not look like that now.

A sneak peek of the inner works. This entire support equipment bay was added into the rebuild. Makes it a whole lot easier to service the things without disturbing the pond. The pond filter, irrigation system, and associated plumbing are pictured. The reservoir collects waste water from the filter’s backflush as well as the pond’s overflow drain for irrigation use. Built a custom irrigation system to utilize this water in the flower beds and other planters.

Used a 27 gallon tough-tote to collect overflow and backwash water from the pond and filter. A 4500 gph pump pictured which is connected to a smart switch pushes water through the irrigation system when needed.

An automatic aerator supplies oxygen to nitrifying bacteria that convert waste into nitrates for plant use.

Filter plumbing. Replaced the barbed adapters with PVC fittings. The the two long pipes in the bottom of the image are the overflow and backflush lines into the reservoir. The structure overhead is supporting the flower bed. All of this is normally hidden behind a wall of retaining wall stones. The stones and flower bed muffle the noise of the aerator.

Irrigation manifold assembly. The valve array on the bottom is a 4 solenoid (hose timer) connected to micro/drip lines distributing the water throughout the garden. All from pond water!

Wow those snakes put a bit hurt on your population. Ever think about throwing in there some minnows that breed like rabits and will over winter but get to a decent size
