My main issue is i do not look down onto the pond area like your self, iris block the view.

that is a crazy gorgeous shot get a tripod and a good camera and that could be a calendar or a mantle piece

I need to stop being lazy with the photos and use my camera and not the cell phone

Addy, Do you have to divide those iris at all?
The purple ones? I have never touched them, except move a few self seeded clumps that were growing in one of my few paths. I just dug them up stuck in the ground elsewhere and told them good luck, they grew just fine lol

LOVE ME , MY POND ...

Wow! Fantastic colors and set up. I love your pitcher plants! I know you have to be careful how you treat them as they get their nitrogen from insects. How long have you had them planted there? Beautiful!

@addy1 Would they grow in Florida, zone 9b/10a? and if so, I'l love some seeds and would do my best.
No clue, I think it is a siberian iris, the net says good up to zone 9 . They are blooming now, let them set seeds and I will send you a bunch. PM me your real name and address. I will mail once the seeds are mature.

Two lilies opened, one in my 1000 gallon pond, running free, the flowers are huge, the leaves are huge.

The second in the big pond, love the color. The yellow rope will turn brown, it is attached to the pot so I can just grab and move them.

And we have a mama nesting on our outside movement activated solar light, next time she is gone I am going to snap some pics see how many eggs now.

Wow those lily flowers are stunning addy! What kind of bird is nesting there?
I am not sure it flies fast if we look at it too long. Seems to be mainly brown, like a wren. I want to check egg count but it is too cool today she is sitting a lot.

First let me say your photos are fantastic! In the pics of the trapdoor snails, are the circles around the actual snails? Do they have algae growing on their shells? I put 20 in about three or four months ago and cant find any...Maybe that is why...Could they have algae growing on them and that is why I can't locate them?

They grow algae on their shells, I find by looking for clumps.
Thanks I am just using my cell. Should dig out my camera. But cell is stuck in my back pocket just there and reachable.
And it decided to rain while I was out there. Cell is water proof.

That is interesting … I never knew this…I have one golden color snail that I can always find because she is so bright and has no algae on her shell…I guess the trapdoor snails have a rougher shell so algae is able to grow on it..
