Oh my gosh! What the heck are you doing out there @addy1 ? Next we will hear you squished your toe or busted your buns! You just gotta get out there and fix it tho don't ya,lol!

Watch those Water Hawthorne as they will send out little seeds that will sprout in the water and you can pick them out and plant them in some soil and they will grow new plants.
I will keep a look out for some.

Every move is calculated, feet stable, check, toes safe, check, left arm safe, check. Left hand joints still so painful not real usable.

I divided my lily last year and just put the parts in a stock tank that catchs water off the shed house metal roof . They are growing fast . It even froze and they survived / momma tried to run away yesterday in my friends truck , never saw her do that before . Came up from the basement with Mike and there she was . She has never done that before and now will have to watch close when someone comes over and leaves the windows open . Hubby's stray cats are just spoiled rotten , both of them

This was yesterday. Things are really growing! Normally, I would be in the pond soon, thinning stuff out. This year, I am leaving it. When I get the backyard pond done, I will divide stuff from the front yard and transplant in the back. Free plants! This iris started as a small clump. I know it can be a real problem, but I have enjoyed it. Right now, there is a giant mass of feathery, floaty roots hanging down. The fish love to hide in it! When I put some out back, I will be sure to put some extra liner under that area - just in case.

I was so excited that we had a frog last year! I was hopeful he would stay and that maybe we would have tadpoles. But I think the heron got him before he could find a girlfriend.

how did you get the moss to grow so fast on the waterfall? Did you use a buttermilk mixture or was that just natural?

This is the front yard pond that I started in 2016. It has been around for a while. I had noticed some moss growing in that area - a little bit. I dug up a few pieces from my lawn in the shady backyard and just pressed it to the damp flat stone. Over the years, it has really spread!!!!! I love it!

Thank you! Most of my gardening successes have nothing to do with me. If something thrives in a particular spot, it's just a matter of luck! I am always thrilled (and a little surprised) when I find a plant that happens to like the growing conditions it's in!

Enjoying the ominous monster fish shadows from the slant of the morning sunlight

I partially filled my pond back up and waiting to see if there is still a leak. None so far but I will wait until tomorrow before filling it up any more. After dark I looked to see how many snails I have cruising around the sides and when I got by the lights I found something that surprised me....SHRIMP?! lots of shrimp? cool. I'm guessing I have so many since I don't have fish yet.

I’d wager those are dragonfly or damselfly nymphs rather than shrimp!
