Had to get the net on today. The trees are turning color and dropping leaves quickly.

Yeah i plan on just cutting back anything along the edges to make sure no wicking occurs . but the rest will be left as an insulator for the plants and the inverts frogs etc

Up THERE, I meant. I know j.w’s area (and many places north and east of Seattle) were hit by major flooding. All those rivers couldn’t handle the 7+ inches of rain since Saturday. My heart goes out to them.

We did not have it bad and we are up on our hill in Arlington Heights. South and North and East and West of us took the hits. We were hidden from it all right in between and I don't even think the Stilly river overflowed it's banks much at the bottom of our hill. Only lost power yesterday for an hour or so. No biggy and glad! They got hit hard up in Mt Vernon which is only about 30 miles North of us. I was able to even get my walking in during the storms. Got a bit wet and almost blown over but I'm still alive and loved the sun we had today!

I’m glad you’re safe and sound, Queen of Animated gifs!
Our dear friends up in Ferndale aren’t so fortunate. The Nooksack River flooded them out of their home. Whatcom county has the worst flooding in over 130 years.
