I have two comets in the pond (they escaped capture a few years back when we drained & did a culling) both are males & they were two of the most active pursuers over the past couple days. I told them they had delusions of grandeur. One good thing -- I've been refusing to feed everyone for a couple days now, so I'm saving on food. Told them to go eat EGGS! LOL. (and they have been happily obliging me on that issue) Foam is slowly clearing, but... what a mess they made!

My pond's a mess. Guess what my fishies have been up to for the past two days
Your pond is still pretty, even with the foam. I have been dealing with a lot of foam too. The baby goldfish I couldn't catch last year have decided they want a family and I think they are spawning every couple of days!

Thanks. Things seem to have settled down now. There's still a small bit of residual foam, but the pond no longer looks like a Starbuck's latte!

These two were put into the pond a few days ago. The tint one was left behind, got him another tiny friend.

Nice fish! Dark veins and light green/yellow leaves = needs more iron.

For lack of iron in potted pond plants you can take a wadded up hunk of steel wool and shove it down under the roots and it will slowly dissolve and get your plants green again.

WARNING FISH BEING EATEN!

And when I walked down there today, heard a splash, looked down and lil snakey was having a snack. About a two inch fish. Snakey can sure swim fast! And the spider waiting for food!
