Most of mine have a great smell, in the summer when they are blooming the back yard smells great. I need to be at the boat on my older lappy to get the name. I never remember them all.

I think it is razzelberry. I put my special hybrid lilies in the hot tub pond to keep track of them. A swap with another GPF member.
i love watching when someone goes to smell a lilly and they get to close and look like the scare crow from the wizard of ozz with a black nose from the pollen ok or yellow

lol I never get that close, the ones in the big pond I would need to wade to get to them. You can just stand in the back yard and smell them.

I've never noticed any of my waterlilies having a particularly strong scent... ??? Maybe they just sort of blend in with everything else that's blooming out in the garden & I just don't notice or differentiate the smell?

Might be, all I know is the smell is wonderful and I have had my nose in enough of them to know the smell.

ditto; until @addy1 's post, I didn't know any water lilies HAD a nice scent! Hence why I asked; the wife loves flowers with a good scent, so I'm looking to get Razzberry in our pond sooner or later! @addy1 ; I could google, but besides Razzberry, are there other cultivars you'd recommend for scent?
