I can see my pond again. Most of the snow is gone, relatively speaking. It's still a foot deep in some spots, and the mounds along my driveway are still about four feet tall.

The pond is mostly open water today. Surprised to see that the clarity is pretty low. Usually it isn't terrible. Looks like most or all of my fish survived. Also saw the leopard frog at the surface today! I want to get the pump going but I'm waiting until the snow melts away from the bog.

I got the big air bladder going in the bottom of the pond and it did cut it's way through the ice but it was thick here at least a foot I was able to walk across Deadpool and the waterfall area without even I hint of a crack or shifting. I saw a couple of my fish so far so good. and I was able to get the vac going and I pulled out 5 bags of leaves and muck from half the pond. water quality is surprisingly very clear I thought for sure with all those organics it would be rough but I can see the bottom almost 6 feet down

dang I thought it was spring - here in CO we might get as much as 6ft of snow in some areas, however it is looking like just thee in the front range.....

Now I am glad I waited to open up the pond again

I can hardly believe it, but my pond is officially up and running! This may be the earliest I've ever turned the pump on. After all that snow we had, I didn't expect to get it going until April, but we've had a really great stretch of weather. I'm leaving the pond breather in for now just in case we see some crazy cold weather, but I'm so glad it's running.

I jury rigged my pond I just have a 3000 gph pump pushing up to the stream making everything but the bog running . I'm seriously considering dropping the 12000 to 9000 due to the damn electric bill here in CT last summer with hit just below 800 for a month . BS....

Welcome to the absolute worst of governing. We pay the second highest in the country and its only for one reason the damn bureaucrats have no balls to tell the utilities no on there constant increases.
