Cool picture of the dragon flies @addy1 . And I would have loved to see a picture of the bee on the frog's nose!
It was so cool, the bee sat there for a second then took off. It had landed to grab some water. The frog was doing the freeze you can't see me routine, so it did not snag the bee.

Those blooms are beautiful addy1! I'm patiently awaiting my first bloom. Looks like you have a nice lotus as well, something I hope to add to my water garden at some point. I obtained a few seeds but I'm not sure if they'll survive, we'll see. :)

Just "finished" building my pond! Still have some landscaping left to do, but it's close. It's 9'x11' and just over 30" deep at the deepest area. I have a shelf that's 20" deep and one at 10". I built a cave into the 20" deep shelf for my two koi to hide in.

That lotus you see is a small white mini lotus. It is running wild in the one pond, there are also a few lilies in that pond. I need to eventually groom it, which will mean pulling a lot of stuff out of the pond. It is tangled in everything.

I have a 300 gallon tub that is full of full size lotus. This is last year they are just starting to grow now., getting leaves to the surface.

Here's a look at the growth in my mini native garden by my pond over the last month and a half.

As you can see, they've really taken off the past few weeks, and a Lance-leaf Tickseed opened up today.

Also, Mrs. Duck is up to 10 eggs now! She doesn't seem to care too much that I still sit by my pond, but she always puts her head down in an attempt to blend in more. She blends in a lot, actually! I gave her more leaves to use, and she's since made them apart of her nest.

Addy love that lotus but that grass is really cool. Love that variation of red/green. Do you know what it is?
