I'm guessing my water temp is about 45 degrees. The aerator is still running, and the fish are eating a lot. I just started my 3rd 44 lb bag of food, for the year. I have most of the pine needles cleaned out. I need to bury my air line. I also want to get a pond breather. I'll probably turn the aerator off in about 2 weeks.

The warmer-than-average weather has my pond season going longer than usual. I still see frogs every day and most of the plants are still looking good. 60°s and 72°s in the forecast for next week! Water temps have been struggling to get warmer than 50° on most days so I've cut way back on feeding. As you might know, this will be my first winter with the fish staying in the pond, so I'm nervous for them.

maple tree almost looks orange maybe it wanted to celebrate halloween .Thank you would be easier if I had help ..i don't want to stand the boards up on end and notch them because did that to one in NJ and every time I looked the pieces would crack and fall off .I have to brace the underside of each 2x4 .I am going to put shade cloth over the top next year .The contractor wanted to charge me seventeen hundred for one that he was not going to build my way and he was going to build one 10x10 .So that made me decide to put back on the tool belt and build it my way and save money .
