My pond has some wildlife. Although next time I stick my hand in the pond I will remember what I just saw these ducks doing to eachother..

JB I liked your pond build photos. Are you concerned about high ph resulting from the limestone at all?

No, I had no issues with the limestone/sandstone last year.

Now I need to make it uninviting! Pea Gravel is everywhere!

Everything growing great, did a lot of purging and shipping plants. I can actually see gravel now, it too will regrow and quickly.

I agree, that is a good idea. My bog will be small but I still might put one stepping stone right in the center.

I have a small rock in the center to stand on, but is hard to find once it all grows in by mid summer.

sometimes my big rocks disappear. I always start the summer thinking I will "control" the bog, never happens

Most of my bog is dry on top only small rivers in the gravel have an inch of water flowing through so stepping in mine and getting wet toes is not a problem for me.

Lovely, my plants are growing but I bet 2 weeks to get to where you are now.

Had a pretty good storm this evening....pond is full again..

Most of my bog is dry on top only small rivers in the gravel have an inch of water flowing through so stepping in mine and getting wet toes is not a problem for me.

My gravel settled, keep meaning to add more, but have just not done it.
