Wow, what a difference! I remember not that long ago you shared a photo and things were just beginning to pop up. I noticed one of my rushes growing nicely recently but last years horsetail rush has not done anything.
There are lots of different types, I think some are sand stone. But most rocks we pick up out here are some shade of red. We just get them from the desert, mountains, our property, never stores.

The first dragonfly of the year! She was drying her wings in the sun this afternoon. Not the best shot, but I was hiding behind a rock with my phone to get it.

Great pics everyone. JB I liked your pond build photos. Are you concerned about high ph resulting from the limestone at all? JW going way back when you commented on my pond. I knew March was over but its been so cold here we were still having feb weather and was looking forward to march weather. Well that's what we got here this April. It's been super cold. I think it has to do with Lake Michigan freezing over on 96% of its surface this winter and the winds coming off the lake this spring have been really cold. I think this week its supposed to be 40's and 50's all week which is 15-20 degrees below normal.
