Very nice, yard looks good too! My trees don't have any leaves left anymore, looks nice to see you still have some!

Poppy and Bear have no pit bull in them, to my knowledge, but people think sometimes Poppy is one. Mommy (Sadie now passed away) was a Northern breed, born on the Sun child Indian Reserve, and her mother was half Wolf. Daddy lived across the street and was a black looking lab. Poppy and Bear just came out Chocolate color. Bear has lots of Lab traits too.

First two pictures are of the Mom Sadie, then Poppy and then last two are of Bear... I think mom and dad also had some collie in there somewhere...

Your Sadie was a beautiful dog, Colleen! I can definitely see the wolf features in her, but lots of shepherd and collie as well. My Yukon has lots of different looking dogs in him, too. Floppy ears, otherwise would look more shepherd. The black lab daddy maybe had a chocolate parent, or background, thus your dogs being chocolate. In the end, all that matters is that you love them, and they love you. :luxlove:  :luxlove:

This Georgia Peach lily was still blooming beautifully on Thursday, before the temps dropped that evening.

Today, this red lily is blooming in the koi pond.

Then I worked on removing cattails in the koi pond bog. These are the "before" and "after" shots.

I had found some tulip bulbs at Menards a week or so ago, and got them planted today. Was trying to decide if I would put them out in the back yard, where the ponds are, or some in the front yard. Decided to put them all in the back, as that is where I go to enjoy my outdoors. It will be fun to see them pop up in the spring!

Gosh CE it looks like Summer still where you are! Most everything is going to sleep here now getting ready for winter. Love that pretty peach lily. Some of mine did not bloom this year and the ones that did didn't bloom much. Hoping next year we will have a better Spring and Summer that lasts longer so they can bloom real pretty for us!
You gave those cattails a good pruning!

I have flowers that I planted in the spring, died back, seeds started new growth or maybe it was runners. Those are blooming now! Lots of land flowers blooming in my yard. LOTS! Everything is very green. This week of colder temps after this past Thurs. is actually cooler than normal temps. We I think should be having 55 -60 for highs this time of year, but it's fine. As long as it has not gotten below freezing, all is still growing outside. In fact, my marigolds that I finally quit watering a while back, removed all the dead plants, but shook out the seeds, tons of them grew, and now they are getting ready to bloom! If we continue to not have a frost, they will be in full bloom in about 2 weeks, some are blooming now. OK, so I ran outside barefooted to take these pics, THEN realized temp is only 35 right now! Cold feet, but you will see some pretty flowers, and the marigold patch that came up from seeds.

I can't remember what the light purple flowers are in the last pic, and toes were too cold to look at tag. LOL

Here are pictures of my skimmer that was not working yesterday a.m., filter and basket on top of it, then with the filter and basket back in place.

The rock "lid" slid to the bottom of the pond. Will have to retrieve it this evening. Company yesterday until long after dark, kept me from getting this taken care of then.

Good news though. Plugged skimmer in this morning, and it started right back up. I suspect it was overheated and had shut down from that yesterday a.m. Going to take pump apart this evening, though, just to be sure. And, thanks, Larkin, for the idea of drilling a small hole in the pipe before it goes down into the bog, to keep water from back siphoning, even though I have a one-way valve that I thought should have kept that from happening when the pump fails or is turned off! Good to know something so simple can keep the bog from emptying!
