I bought mine in 2004 ,I left my others for the new owners of the house in NJ .When you have a well every bit of water you save is like gold .Plus i love how quiet they are .

i don't remember when we bought them, it was when we first moved into the house in arizona, with late hubby, 2002 or so. Here it is great with the well. I baby it and our septic system.

Mine look similar to what I see of yours.

I think over the years they did not change the look of them much ,they just added colors to the choices .I bought mine December 28th 2004 .I did not move from NJ until the end of November and hubby was living here since June 10th of that year .He moved here on his birthday .My sisters both have the same ones ,Jackie bought hers in 2008 and Sharon bought bought hers in 2010 and the look just like mine .They both liked mine .I have to say the less water they use is the better they are .I do use the washing machine cleaner for it so the tub never gets gunk build up .I use all HE detergent

I have never used the cleaner, but our water here has nothing in it. In arizona we have hard hard water, here soft soft. I leave the door open when not in use so it drys well.

Quiet ...now that is something I LOVE about my sister's front end machines. My goodness, when the dryer is done, it plays a beautiful tune, quiet, lovely. Mine does this obnoxious noise that you can hear outside! That's the only thing I would change about my set right now. I have plenty of well water, and I have a softener, so never have to worry about using too much water, or spots or smell. I love this place for the water issues! Someday I won't have this luxury, as probably 95% of all country homes now have city water.

I can't see them running city water out here, not enough houses for it. Same reason we are stuck with comcast, no one else wants to run lines out here.

Around here, EVERYONE has the option of city water. The 1.5 mile road I am on only has 3 houses, but the option was here about 10 years ago. All 3 of the house owners at that time opted out of the service. If you never hooked up, but had a meter, you still had to pay the monthly fee for lowest amount of water, even if you never used it! And, if only one person had requested it, they would have run the line past all 3 houses, but if you said no, they would not place a meter. Then, if a latter home owner opted to hook on, it would cost them $1,500 or more just to get a meter put in, then the home owner has to run line to house. I'm happy with my water, and glad I don't have that added expense. But. the company running the lines has to run it to everyone that wants it. The line right now is run 1/2 mile north of me, so another buyer for my house could actually get hooked up if they were in need of the water. It would cost them probably $5,000 or more to get the line run down here, though.

good luck and hope they are what they look like .Funny thing is natural history museums here do not want them even if they are free .They say they are of no interest because they have them .But private owners want them and are willing to pay for them just to say they have one on display in there homes
