My honey has been dropping weight since I put him on a lower the blood sugar diet. i.e. eat healthy and a lot every day. Balanced meals, he has lost 65 lbs since he met me, 10 in the last 2 months. He has gone from a 44 pant size, the day we married, to a 34 YIPPEE!

Addy, you're STARVING the poor guy!!! But seriously, I decided to lose weight about 15 years ago to control my diabetes better, lost 66 lb. in 6 months! My goal had been 40 lb., but it felt so good, I just couldn't stop.

LOL John, he says he has never eaten so much when on a "diet" I just spent weeks reading about type two, pre diabetic and how to correct via diet. We will see how well we did when he goes to doc end of march. On no meds at this time. Sugars has dropped from 220 to 110 in the am via the test kits. We did this in 3 months of modified eating. And we eat a lot.

I want to eat a lot and lose weight, Addy. What's your secret? I keep using the excuse I need someone to help keep me on the straight and narrow. Coming home from work, eating leftovers from lunch, or cereal and milk, and then snacking on cheese or cashews at bedtime is a recipe for failure, I know.

Oh, and I wanted to comment on my previous comment about State Farm. It was NOT a State Farm guy that had called me that afternoon. The agent that called me later that evening was foreign, but understandable. The other guy called again yesterday, and when he called today, I answered it, and he spoke VERY broken English, like he was reading it from a script, one word at a time, said he was calling about my 2006 Dodge Charger. I told him I was not interested, and to remove my number from his list, and not call my phone anymore. We shall see if that cured it. I almost called the number back yesterday, but then someone mentioned the scams of missed calls, or "one ring calls" and if you call the number back, it connects you with a place overseas, and your phone gets charged mega bucks! So, I refrained from calling the number back.

We use virgin mobile, 35 a month, unlimited data and text, talk minutes 300, which we never use up. Our one phone is a hot spot, that is how we are on the net when we are down here, pay 15 a month for net access and only when we use it.

I give out our landline number now whenever it is required. I give out my cellphone # for legitimate purposes.
I have some software that I can filter out "unknown caller" or 1-800 numbers or whatever I don't recognize that goes directly to a message that tells the caller that "we are not accepting calls from this exchange". It's very handy except we still get 1 ring before it goes to that message.

When I hear about polls that are taken from phone surveys it really makes me wonder who is participating in them...o_O
....darn robocalls...

At home we have magicjack for our home phone. That is the number we give out if needed. Never answer it if unknown calls, 800 number, we get a email if they leave a message, just listen to it there.
Very few people have our cell numbers.

Get on line read the diabetes meal plans. Basically just balanced meals, three good meals a day. Afternoon and evening snack.
Small amount of meat, like they say deck of card size, complex carbs, simple carbs, fiber.

Read this CE, it took me a while to get the food flow down, now don't really think about it, but his sugars are almost normal now, we both dropped 10 lbs. My size 8's are fitting good again lol.
Look at the plate method, it does help.
And we eat a lot of food, and have three good meals a day. He needs this to keep his sugars stable and heading down.

I use century link for internet only 14.99 a month with home phone service and that includes calls in the U.S free .Plus when some one calls my home I can pick certain numbers to be transferred to my cell phone .Century link does offer cell phone service but not in my area ,I need good internet because of my sons e-bay sales .He is selling all of our high dollar sports card collection ..Virgin mobile does not get good service in my area .They have not finished the cell phone towers here .They just started a week ago ,but weather and wind have stopped them plus one excavator that hit one of the tower legs by accident .
