I'm very disappointed in my State Farm office this evening. I faxed the roof estimate to them this morning, and by noon I got a call from my local area code, but such a heavy accent, I could not understand the man. I think he told me his name was "Clarence" ... right. I understood very little else, except he was asking if I was me! Um ... you called me! LOL I had no idea he was calling from State Farm. When I got home from work, call came in on 877 area code, let it go, got a voice mail. Again, disappointed. Is this what our US is going to ... hiring people who cannot speak clear ENGLISH to handle their claims???? Not going to return the call until I talk to my local office in the a.m. Here's the recording of the second call, which I can understand pretty well ... after I listened to it several times anyhow:

That's because state farm call center is in another country and the get them to call the customer instead of agent .I heard it on the news the other night about insurance companies doing this now .I know tech. support for ATT is getting the same complaints because calls goes to another country .Seems to be a trend and that what they have so many people out of work in the U.S . all these calls used to be handled here and they laid off all there call center people to save a buck .My son worked for ATT call center and got laid off 4 years ago because of this and you have the right to demand an American .I called direct TV when I had it a kept getting people I could not understand a boy direct tv went bye bye real fast

We had the same problem here for several years. Mumbai, India, has become THE call center to the world! Telephone, computer, anything you needed help with you would wind up talking to a very heavily accented Indian gentleman you couldn't understand. It got so bad, and the companies got so many complaints, that now most have gone back to handling calls locally (or at least in THIS country)! The sad part of all this is that the people answering the lines in Mumbai are paid only a few dollars a day, but for them it's a small fortune.

direct tv has lost lots of customers because of loosing the weather channel .ATT sent there's to the Phillapians .Direct tv I could never understand those people and complained .Now I have Chatmoss cable and only pay 64 dollars a month and I get all my local channels and NC channels and plus get 5 hbo channels and 5 showtime channels .I was paying direct tv 139 dollars a month and did not have my local channels .Plus now I have fiber optic cable and I do not have to go out and clean that stupid dish off of ice and snow and bad rain and winds and clouds do not interrupt my TV .They also hooked the TV up in the bedroom ,the kitchen and the guest house at no extra charge

My honey has been dropping weight since I put him on a lower the blood sugar diet. i.e. eat healthy and a lot every day. Balanced meals, he has lost 65 lbs since he met me, 10 in the last 2 months. He has gone from a 44 pant size, the day we married, to a 34 YIPPEE!
